• நேரடி வரிகளுக்கான தேசிய அகாடமி (என்.ஏ.டி.டி) / NATIONAL ACADEMY OF DIRECT TAXES: நேரடி வரிகளுக்கான தேசிய அகாடமி (NADT) என்பது இந்திய வருவாய் சேவை மற்றும் இந்திய அரசாங்கத்தின் வருமான வரித் துறையின் உச்ச சிவில் சேவை பயிற்சி நிறுவனமாகும். 
• பல ஆண்டுகளாக, இது மனித மூலதனத்தை உருவாக்குவதன் மூலம் தேசிய நலனை மேம்படுத்தி அழகுபடுத்தியுள்ளது மற்றும் வரிக் கொள்கை மற்றும் நிர்வாகத்தில் 'சிறந்த நலன்கள்' சிந்தனைக் குழுவாக செயல்படுகிறது.

• நேரடி வரிகளுக்கான தேசிய அகாடமி (என்.ஏ.டி.டி) / NATIONAL ACADEMY OF DIRECT TAXES: 05-02-1957 அன்று நாக்பூரில் யூனியன் பப்ளிக் சர்வீஸ் கமிஷன் நடத்தும் சிவில் சர்வீசஸ் தேர்வின் மூலம் ஆட்சேர்ப்பு செய்யப்பட்ட இந்திய வருவாய் சேவை அதிகாரிகளுக்கு ஒழுங்கமைக்கப்பட்ட பயிற்சி 1981 இல் அதன் இறுதி வடிவத்தை எடுத்தது. 
• அன்றிலிருந்து தேசிய நேரடி வரிகள் அகாடமி எண்ணிக்கையில் வளர்ந்தது. அதன் பயிற்சித் திட்டங்கள் தொடர்ந்து சர்வதேச அங்கீகாரத்தையும் பாராட்டையும் பெற்றுள்ளன. 
• அகாடமி, அதன் ஏழு பிராந்திய பயிற்சி நிறுவனங்கள் மற்றும் நாடு முழுவதும் அமைந்துள்ள 46 அமைச்சுப் பணியாளர் பயிற்சிப் பிரிவுகளுடன், இந்தியாவில் உள்ள வருமான வரித் துறையின் கிட்டத்தட்ட 50,000 அதிகாரிகள் மற்றும் ஊழியர்களின் பயிற்சித் தேவைகளைப் பூர்த்தி செய்கிறது. 
• அதன் பல்வேறு வளாகங்களில் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் 100 க்கும் மேற்பட்ட பயிற்சி வகுப்புகள் மற்றும் கருத்தரங்குகள் நடத்தப்படுகின்றன.

அமைப்பு

• நேரடி வரிகளுக்கான தேசிய அகாடமி (என்.ஏ.டி.டி) / NATIONAL ACADEMY OF DIRECT TAXES: இந்திய அரசின் சிறப்புச் செயலர் பதவிக்கு இணையான வருமான வரி முதன்மை இயக்குநர் ஜெனரல் (பயிற்சி) அகாடமிக்கு தலைமை தாங்குகிறார். 
• அரசாங்கத்தின் இணைச் செயலாளர் பதவிக்கு சமமான மூன்று கூடுதல் இயக்குநர் ஜெனரல்கள் அவருக்கு உதவுகிறார்கள். இந்தியாவின், எட்டு கூடுதல்/இணை இயக்குநர்கள் மற்றும் 13 துணை/உதவி இயக்குநர்கள்.
• Pr DGIT (பயிற்சி) என்பது வருமான வரித் துறையின் பயிற்சி ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர். தகுதிகாண் பயிற்சியாளர்களுக்கான தூண்டல் பயிற்சி வகுப்புகளைத் திட்டமிடுதல், ஒழுங்கமைத்தல் மற்றும் நடத்துதல் மற்றும் திணைக்களத்தின் மூத்த அதிகாரிகளுக்கான சேவைக்காலப் பயிற்சித் திட்டங்களை ஒழுங்கமைத்தல் ஆகியவற்றின் ஒட்டுமொத்தப் பொறுப்பையும் அவர் கொண்டுள்ளார்.
• Pr DGIT (பயிற்சி) பெங்களூர், கொல்கத்தா, ஹைதராபாத், லக்னோ, மும்பை, சென்னை, சண்டிகர், அகமதாபாத், ஹசாரிபாக் மற்றும் போபால் ஆகிய இடங்களில் உள்ள பத்து பிராந்திய பயிற்சி நிறுவனங்களின் செயல்பாட்டையும், நாடு முழுவதும் பரவியுள்ள 46 அமைச்சக பணியாளர் பயிற்சி பிரிவுகளையும் மேற்பார்வை செய்கிறது. இந்த நிறுவனங்கள் தங்கள் அதிகார வரம்பிற்குள் உள்ள வருமான வரித் துறையின் பல்வேறு பணியாளர்களுக்குப் பயிற்சி அளிக்கின்றன.
• பரந்த அளவில், இது நிர்வாகம் மற்றும் ஆசிரிய பிரிவுகளாக ஒழுங்கமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. அகாடமியில் உள்ள உள்கட்டமைப்பு வசதிகளை நிர்வாகம் கவனித்து, அவற்றின் பராமரிப்பில் செயல்படுகிறது.

• NATIONAL ACADEMY OF DIRECT TAXES: The National Academy of Direct Taxes (NADT) is the apex civil service training institution of the Indian Revenue Service and the Income Tax Department of the Government of India. 
• Over the years, it has enhanced and embellished national interest by moulding human capital fortunes and functioning as a ‘best-interests’ think-tank in tax policy and administration. 
• The Academy imparts proficiency in core competency areas, disseminates information about the best of academics and practices and provides an international perspective, high quality professional capabilities and cultural sensitivities to officers.
• The academy's main purpose is to train civil service officers of the Indian Revenue Service. But over the years after UPSC and DOPT clearance it also trains officers of the Indian Police Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Ordnance Factories Service, Indian Postal Service, Indian Railway officers, Central Bureau of Investigation, Enforcement Directorate Indian Posts and Telegraphs Accounts and Finance Service, Indian Audits and Accounts Service, Indian Corporate Law Service, Indian Civil Accounts Service and the Indian Cost Accounts Service.

History

• NATIONAL ACADEMY OF DIRECT TAXES: Organized training of Indian Revenue Service officers recruited through the civil services examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission began at Nagpur on 05-02-1957 and the academy took its final shape in 1981. 
• Since then National Academy of Direct Taxes has grown in the number of officers trained and in its facilities, quality and repute. Its training programmes have consistently received international recognition and commendation. 
• The Academy, along with its seven Regional Training Institutes and 46 Ministerial Staff Training Units located across the country, caters to the training needs of nearly 50,000 officers and staff of the Income Tax Department in India. More than 100 training courses and seminars are conducted each year at its various campuses.

Organization

• NATIONAL ACADEMY OF DIRECT TAXES: The academy is headed by the Principal Director General of Income Tax (Training) equivalent to the Rank of Special Secretary to Government of India. 
• He/she is assisted by three Additional Director Generals equivalent to rank of Joint Secretary to Govt. of India, eight Addl./Joint Directors and 13 Deputy/Assistant Directors.
• The Pr DGIT (Training) is the training coordinator for the Income-tax department. He/she has the overall responsibility of planning, organising and conducting the induction training courses for the probationers as well as organizing in-service training programmes for senior officers of the Department.
• The Pr DGIT (Training) also supervises the functioning of ten Regional Training Institutes at Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Mumbai, Chennai, Chandigarh, Ahmedadabad, Hazaribagh and Bhopal and 46 Ministerial Staff Training Units spread all over the country. These institutes impart training to various cadres of the Income Tax Department within their jurisdictions.
• Broadly, it is organized into Administration and Faculty Wings. Administration looks after the infrastructure facilities in the academy and works in their maintenance. 
• It also looks after the Planning and Research Wing and Library. Faculty Wing looks after the Induction courses and supports the training programs. Planning and Research wing organizes seminars and courses for the senior officers in service and it also manages the Publications Division of the Academy.
