• கர்பா நடனத்திற்கு யுனெஸ்கோ அங்கீகாரம் / Garba dance is recognized by UNESCO: நவராத்திரி பண்டிகையின் போது குஜராத்திலும், வேறு சில பகுதிகளிலும் துர்க்கை அம்மனை போற்றும் வகையில் கர்பா நடனம் அரங்கேறுவது வழக்கம்.
• இந்த நடனத்திற்கு சர்வதேச அங்கீகாரம் வழங்கக் கோரி யுனெஸ்கோவுக்கு மத்திய அரசு பரிந்துரைத்தது. ஏற்கனவே இந்த பட்டியலில் இந்திய பாரம்பரிய கலாசார நிகழ்வுகளான ராம்லீலா, கும்பமேளா, கோல்கட்டா துர்கா பூஜை உள்ளிட்ட 14 நிகழ்வுகள் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன. 
• இந்நிலையில், பாரம்பரிய கலாசார நிகழ்வுகளை பாதுகாக்கும் யுனெஸ்கோவின் சர்வதேச குழுவின் மாநாடு, நேற்று முன்தினம் தென் அமெரிக்க நாடான போட்ஸ்வானாவில் நடைபெற்றது. அதில், குஜராத்தின் கர்பா நடனத்தை சேர்க்க ஒப்புக்கொள்ளப்பட்டது.
• ஐ.நா.,வின் ஓர் அங்கமான யுனெஸ்கோ, 'மனித குலத்தின் பாரம்பரிய கலாசார நிகழ்வுகள்' பட்டியலில் குஜராத்தின் பிரபலமான கர்பா நடனத்தையும் சேர்த்துள்ளது.

• Garba dance is recognized by UNESCO: During the festival of Navratri, Garba dance is performed in Gujarat and some other regions in honor of Goddess Durga.
• The central government recommended UNESCO for international recognition of this dance. Already this list includes 14 events including traditional Indian cultural events such as Ramlila, Kumbh Mela, Kolkata Durga Puja. 
• In this case, the conference of UNESCO's International Committee for the Protection of Traditional Cultural Events was held yesterday in the South American country of Botswana. In it, it was agreed to include the garba dance of Gujarat.
• UNESCO, a part of the UN, has included Gujarat's famous Garba dance in its list of 'Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity'.
