- கிசான் ரயில் / KISAN RAIL: பழங்கள், காய்கறிகள், ஆட்டிறைச்சி, கோழி இறைச்சி, மீன் மற்றும் பால் பொருட்கள் உள்ளிட்ட அழுகக்கூடிய பொருட்களை உற்பத்தியாகும் அல்லது உபரியாக உள்ள பகுதிகளில் இருந்து நுகரும் அல்லது பற்றாக்குறையாக உள்ள பகுதிகளுக்கு எடுத்துச் செல்கிறது.
- விரைவான போக்குவரத்தின் காரணமாக குறைவான பாதிப்பு ஏற்படுகிறது.
- தொலைதூர, பெரிய மற்றும் கவர்ச்சிகரமான சந்தைகளுக்கு பொருட்களை அனுப்ப ரயில்வேயின் பரந்து விரிந்த வலைப்பின்னல் விவசாயிகளுக்கு உதவுகிறது.

கட்டணம்
- கிசான் ரயில் / KISAN RAIL: கிசான் ரயில் ரயில்கள் வழியாக முன்பதிவு செய்யப்பட்ட பொருட்களுக்கு பார்சல் கட்டணத்தின் ‘பி’ அளவில் கட்டணம் வசூலிக்கப்படுகிறது.

- KISAN RAIL: Indian Railways is an important part of the government's efforts to increase farmers' income. The introduction of kisan trains has given nationwide access to farmers.
Salient Features of Kisan Train
- KISAN RAIL: Transports perishable products including fruits, vegetables, mutton, poultry, fish and dairy products from areas of production or surplus to areas of consumption or scarcity.
- Less damage due to faster transport.
- A vast network of railways enables farmers to transport produce to distant, large and attractive markets.
- Transporting many products to many places allows even small farmers with limited inventory to access distant, large markets.
- Due to reduced travel time and cost, farm green products are available at lower prices to consumers (in big cities and consumption centers).
- 50 per cent subsidy on fruits and vegetables charges (accepted by Ministry of Food Processing Industries under 'Operation Green - Top to Total' scheme).
Active routes
- KISAN RAIL: 60 routes are operational till June 2021.
Fee
- KISAN RAIL: Goods booked through Kisan Rail trains are charged at 'B' level of Parcel Charges.
- 50 per cent subsidy on fruits and vegetables charges (accepted by Ministry of Food Processing Industries under 'Operation Green - Top to Total' scheme).
