Indian Panorama 2023 Announces Official Selection for 54th International Film Festival of India 2023
- Indian Panorama, the flagship of the International Film Festival of India, has announced a selection of 25 feature films and 20 non-fiction films. The selected films will be screened at the 54th International Film Festival of India in Goa from November 20 to 28, 2023.
- Indian Panorama is selected by eminent personalities from across the country, including a total of twelve jury members for feature films and six jury members for non-fiction films.
- The twelve-member film jury was presided over by renowned film director, actor and producer, Chairman Mr. TS Nagaparana.
- According to Indian Bureau of Mines provisional data, Mineral Production Index (Base: 2011-12 = 100) of Mining and Quarrying sector for August 2023 stood at 111.9, up 12.3% compared to August 2022.
- At the same time, the overall growth for the April to August period of FY 2023-24 was 8.3 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
- Production status of major minerals in August 2023 – Coal 684 lakh tonnes, Lignite 28 lakh tonnes, Natural gas (used) 3110 million cubic meters, Petroleum (crude) 25 lakh tonnes, Bauxite 1428 thousand tonnes, Chromite 148 thousand tonnes, Copper 10 thousand ton, gold 113 kg, iron ore 181 lakh ton, lead 30 thousand ton, manganese 233 thousand ton, zinc 132 thousand ton, limestone 365 lakh ton, phosphorite 107 thousand ton, magnesite 10 thousand ton.
- 2022- Major minerals showing positive growth in August 2023 – Gold (46.8%), Phosphorite (40.7%), Manganese ore (36.9%), Copper ore (18.9%), Coal (17.8%), Iron ore (14.9 %), limestone (13.8%), natural gas (used) (9.9%), magnesite (4.5%), petroleum (crude) (2.1%), chromite (1.4%).
- Negative growth of major minerals - bauxite (-1.5%), zinc (-4.1%), lignite (-5.4%), lead (-15.1%).
