History of World Teachers Day Celebration

• WORLD TEACHER'S DAY 2023: The World Teachers’ Day was established by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization in 1994 to commemorate the signing of the 1966 UNESCO/ILO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers.
• This recommendation clearly states the standards of education personnel policy, recruitment, initial training, continuing education of teachers, their employment and working conditions. The World Teachers’ Day acts as an instrument to address the status and situations of teachers around the world.
