New scheme for conservation of Nilgiri drafts - launched by Chief Minister Stalin
- The Tamil Nadu State Fauna has been classified as Endangered by the International Organization for Conservation of Nature.
- The Tamil Nadu Government had issued an order to implement the Nilgiris Draft Project for the first time in the country at a cost of 25 crore 14 lakh rupees to protect this draft species and improve its habitats.
- In this case, Chief Minister Stalin launched the plan to protect the drafts through a video presentation in a program held at the Chief Secretariat on behalf of the Forest Department. He regularly distributed books to school students to create awareness about drafts.
- Government of Tamil Nadu has informed that through this project, works such as integrated survey twice a year, telemetric radio collaring and continuous protection, diagnosis and treatment of diseases are to be carried out.
- About 18,000 Indians are said to be trapped in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In this situation, the central government has launched a project called Operation Ajay to rescue 18,000 Indians trapped in this war. It has been reported that Indians are going to return home today by special flight under the "Operation Ajay" program started by the central government.
- Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for various development projects worth around Rs 4200 crore in the fields of rural development, roads, electricity, irrigation, drinking water, horticulture, education, health and disaster management in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand today and dedicated the completed projects to the country.
