Prime Minister's participation in 20th ASEAN-India Summit and 18th East Asia Summit
- ASEAN is an international association whose members are Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Brunei, Myanmar, Cambodia, Timor-Leste and Laos.
- Prime Minister Modi reached the Indonesian capital Jakarta by plane today to participate in this consultative meeting. He was given a traditional Indonesian welcome. Union External Affairs Minister Jaishankar accompanied the Prime Minister.

- India and Chinese Taipei teams clashed yesterday in the semi-final match of this series which is being held in PyeongChang, South Korea. In this, the Indian team lost 0-3. In the first match, Chinese Taipei's Huang Yuan beat India's Sharad Kamal in straight sets 11-6, 11-6, 11-9.
- In the next match, world number 7 Yan Zhu Lin defeated India's Sathyan 11-5, 11-6, 12-10. Harmeet Desai fell to Chen Jui Gao 6-11, 7-11, 11-7, 9-11. All these 3 matches were completed in 82 minutes. The Indian men's team lost in the semi-finals and won the bronze medal.
