• தேசிய நிலக்கரி குறியீடு / NATIONAL COAL INDEX (NCI): தேசிய நிலக்கரி குறியீடு (NCI) என்பது அறிவிக்கப்பட்ட விலைகள், ஏல விலைகள் மற்றும் இறக்குமதி விலைகள் உட்பட அனைத்து விற்பனை சேனல்களிலிருந்தும் நிலக்கரி விலைகளை ஒருங்கிணைக்கும் ஒரு விலைக் குறியீடு ஆகும். 
• 2017-18 நிதியாண்டை அடிப்படை ஆண்டைக் கொண்டு நிறுவப்பட்டது, இது சந்தை இயக்கவியலின் நம்பகமான குறிகாட்டியாக செயல்படுகிறது, இது நிலக்கரி விலை ஏற்ற இறக்கங்கள் பற்றிய மதிப்புமிக்க நுண்ணறிவுகளை வழங்குகிறது.

• Established with FY 2017-18 as the base year, it serves as a reliable indicator of market dynamics, providing valuable insights into coal price fluctuations.
• Additionally, the coal auction premium indicates an upswing in the industry, and a sharp decline in coal auction premiums confirms the availability of sufficient coal in the market. India's coal industry confirms substantial reserves, with coal companies holding impressive stakes. 
• This reserve ensures steady supply to various coal-dependent sectors, contributing significantly to the country's overall energy security.
