WORLD WIDE WEB DAY 2023: The Web was invented by English computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee while he was working at the European Organization for Nuclear Research, known as CERN.
A proposal to create the Web was passed by Tim in 1989 and by the end of 1990, the system was implemented at the CERN. The Web was released outside CERN to other research institutions and the whole Internet in 1991.
To honor the creation of the Web, World Wide Web Day began to be observed every year on August 1st. No further detail about how and when the celebration of the day first started is known.

WORLD WIDE WEB DAY 2023: Sir Timothy John Berners-Lee is credited with the invention of the World Wide Web back in 1989. He is currently working as a professorial research fellow at the University of Oxford and a professor emeritus at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
He is also the director of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the co-founder of the World Wide Web Foundation.
