• யுனெஸ்கோவின் உலகின் முதல் பாரம்பரிய தலம் / UNESCO'S FIRST WORLD HERITAGE SITE: யுனெஸ்கோ என்பது ஐக்கிய நாடுகளின் கல்வி, அறிவியல் மற்றும் கலாச்சார அமைப்பாகும். இந்த நிறுவனம் 1945 இல் நிறுவப்பட்டது. இன்று 193 உறுப்பு நாடுகளையும் 12 இணை உறுப்பினர்களையும் கொண்டுள்ளது.

கேலப்பகோஸ் தீவுகள்

• யுனெஸ்கோவின் உலகின் முதல் பாரம்பரிய தலம் / UNESCO'S FIRST WORLD HERITAGE SITE: கேலப்பகோஸ் தீவுகள் (galapagos islands) மாபெரும் ஆமைகளின் கூட்டத்தால் பெயர் பெற்றது. 'கலாபகோ' என்ற ஸ்பானிஷ் வார்த்தைக்கு 'ஆமை' என்று பொருள். 1978 ஆம் ஆண்டில் யுனெஸ்கோ கலாபகோஸை உலக பாரம்பரிய தளமாக அங்கீகரித்துள்ளது.
• உலகின் மிக அழகான ஆனால் குறைவாக மதிப்பிடப்பட்ட தீவு இடங்களில் ஒன்றாக உள்ளது. கேலப்பகோஸ் நில உடும்பு, ஆமை, பறக்காத கார்மோரண்ட் மற்றும் ஃபர் சீல் போன்ற பல உள்ளூர் இனங்களின் இருப்பிடமாக இந்த தீவு உள்ளது. 
• இதன் காரணமாக, 1985 ஆம் ஆண்டில், இது ஒரு உயிர்க்கோள காப்பகமாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது மற்றும் 2001 இல் கடல் இருப்புப் பகுதியாக மாறியது.
• இந்த தீவுகள் தென் அமெரிக்காவின் பூமத்திய ரேகையைச் சுற்றி அமைக்கப்பட்ட எரிமலைத் தீவுகளின் தீவுக்கூட்டமாகும். சான் கிறிஸ்டோபல், சாண்டா குரூஸ் மற்றும் இசபெலா ஆகியவை இங்கு அதிக மக்கள் தொகை கொண்ட மூன்று தீவுகளாகும்.

• யுனெஸ்கோவின் உலகின் முதல் பாரம்பரிய தலம் / UNESCO'S FIRST WORLD HERITAGE SITE: குயின்டோ நகரம் ஈக்வடாரின் பழமையான தலைநகரமாகும். குயின்டோ பெரும்பாலும் உலகளாவிய பயணிகளால் கவனிக்கப்படுவதில்லை என்றாலும் அதன் வரலாறும் முக்கியத்துவமும் அலாதியானது. 
• 1978 இல் யுனெஸ்கோவால் ஒரு வரலாற்று நகரமாக அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட இந்த நகரம், கடல் மட்டத்தில் இருந்து 2850 மீ உயரத்தில் உள்ளது.
• அது மட்டும் இல்லை மக்களே, இது உலகின் இரண்டாவது மிக உயர்ந்த தலைநகரமாம்! இது பிச்சிஞ்சா பள்ளத்தாக்கில் அமைந்துள்ளது. இது ஆண்டிஸில் மலைத்தொடரில் அமைந்துள்ள செயலில் உள்ள எரிமலை பகுதிகளில் ஒன்றாகும். எரிமலை வெடித்து மலையின் உச்சி தட்டையாக காணப்படும்.

• UNESCO'S FIRST WORLD HERITAGE SITE: UNESCO is the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. This company was established in 1945. Today it has 193 member states and 12 associate members. The Galapagos Islands in Ecuador and Quito were the first declared UNESCO sites.

Galapagos Islands

• UNESCO'S FIRST WORLD HERITAGE SITE: The Galapagos Islands are famous for their population of giant tortoises. The Spanish word 'galapago' means 'tortoise'. UNESCO recognized the Galapagos as a World Heritage Site in 1978.
• One of the most beautiful yet underrated island destinations in the world. The island is home to many endemic species such as the Galapagos land iguana, tortoise, flightless cormorant and fur seal. Because of this, in 1985, it was declared a Biosphere Reserve and in 2001 became a marine reserve.
• The islands are an archipelago of volcanic islands located around the equator of South America. San Cristobal, Santa Cruz and Isabela are the three most populated islands here.

Quito

• UNESCO'S FIRST WORLD HERITAGE SITE: The city of Quinto is the oldest capital of Ecuador. Although Quinto is often overlooked by global travelers, its history and significance is unmistakable. Recognized as a historic city by UNESCO in 1978, the city is at an altitude of 2850 m above sea level.
• Not only that folks, it is the second highest capital city in the world! It is located in Pichincha Valley. It is one of the active volcanic regions located in the Andes mountain range. The volcano erupts and the top of the mountain is flattened.
• The once prosperous city is now in a pitiable state. Also seen as a transit town by travelers en route to the Galapagos. But the city has an amazing history and rich culture. Apart from that, the place is full of great museums and ancient architecture. The city's historic center is one of the largest and best preserved in the entire United States
