- The GST collection for the month of May is Rs.1,57,090 crore. Out of which, CGST is Rs.28,411 crore, SGST is Rs.35,828 crore, IGST is Rs.81,363 crore. The percentage is high. For 14 consecutive months, GST collection has been Rs.1.4 lakh crore and for 5 consecutive months, GST collection has exceeded Rs.1.5 lakh crore.
- Also, compared to May last year, this year's income from import of goods is 12 percent and domestic transfers. 11 percent increase in revenue.
- GST collection in Tamil Nadu has also increased by 13 percent over last year and has been collected at Rs 8,953 crore in May this year.
- Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has visited India on a 4-day official visit. He met Prime Minister Modi at his Hyderabad residence in Delhi and discussed bilateral relations in various fields.
- Later, the Prime Ministers of the two countries jointly inaugurated integrated check-posts for cargo and passenger vehicles at the international border between Rubaidika in Uttar Pradesh and Nepalganj in Nepal through video. Similarly, they started a freight train service between Bihar's Patnaga and Nepal.
- Agni-1 missile with advanced SFC technology was successfully test-fired today at the Abdul Kalam launch site in Balasore, Odisha.
