• SAVE DUGONG மொபைல் போன் செயலி / SAVE DUGONG MOBILE APP: அழிவின் விளிம்பில் உள்ள கடற்பசுவை பாதுகாப்பதற்காக, உலக அளவில் பல்வேறு திட்டங்கள் செயல்படுத்தப்பட்டு வருகின்றன. இந்தியாவில், மன்னார் வளைகுடா பகுதியில் மட்டுமே, கடற்பசுக்கள் காணப்படுகின்றன.
• தஞ்சை, புதுக்கோட்டையை ஒட்டிய கடற்பகுதியில், 240 கடற்பசுக்கள் காணப்படுவதாக, கணக்கெடுப்பில் தெரியவந்துள்ளது.இப்பகுதியை மையமாக வைத்து, கடற்பசு பாதுகாப்புக்கான சிறப்பு திட்டத்தை செயல்படுத்த, வனத்துறை முடிவு செய்துள்ளது.
• இதன்படி, தஞ்சை மாவட்டம், பட்டுக்கோட்டை அருகே, மனோராவில், நாட்டின் முதலாவது கடற்பசு பாதுகாப்பகம் அமைய உள்ளது. இதற்கான மாதிரி வடிவமைப்புகள் தயாரிக்கப்பட்டு, தொடர் நடவடிக்கைகள் எடுக்கப்பட்டு வருகின்றன.
• கடற்பசு பாதுகாப்பதற்கான சிறப்பு திட்டத்தின் ஒரு பகுதியாக, மக்களின் நேரடி பங்கேற்பை உறுதி செய்ய திட்டமிட்டுள்ளோம். இதற்காக, Save Dugong என்ற பெயரில், மொபைல் போன் செயலி உருவாக்கப்பட்டு உள்ளது. 
• பொதுமக்கள் மெபைல் போனில் இந்த செயலியை பதிவிறக்கம் செய்து, தங்கள் பங்கேற்பை உறுதி செய்யலாம். இறைச்சி, எண்ணெய், எலும்பு போன்ற பொருட்களுக்காக கடற்பசுக்கள் வேட்டையாடப்படுவதை தடுக்க, மக்கள் பங்கேற்பு அவசியம்.

• SAVE DUGONG MOBILE APP: Various projects are being implemented globally to protect the endangered seaweeds. In India, seaweeds are found only in the Gulf of Mannar region. A survey has revealed that 240 sponges are found in the sea area adjacent to Pudukottai, Tanjore. 
• The Forest Department has decided to implement a special plan for sponge conservation, focusing on this area. According to this, the country's first sponge conservation center is going to be established at Manora, near Pattukottai, Tanjore district. Prototype designs for this have been prepared and follow-up actions are being taken.
• We plan to ensure direct participation of people as part of a special program for the conservation of sea sponges. For this, a mobile phone application named Save Dugong has been developed.
• Public can download this app on their mobile phones and confirm their participation. People's participation is essential to prevent sea sponges from being poached for meat, oil, bones, etc.
