Air quality index in Delhi
- According to Central Pollution Control Board's air quality index data, Delhi had more days between January and April in 2023 with air quality ranging from "good" to "moderate". In the last 7 years from 2016 to 2016, the air quality index has had the highest number of good days in this four-month period, except during the Covid-19 lockdown period.
- In the period from January to April, 8 days in 2016, 29 days in 2017, 32 days in 2018, 44 days in 2019, 68 days in 2020, 31 days in 2021, 27 days in 2022. Air quality has been either “excellent” or “moderate” for days. In 2020, a curfew was implemented in April due to Covid. Currently, 52 days of the current year 2023 from January to April have air quality index of good or moderate.
- Delhi has recorded the lowest number of days in the 'Worst to Worst' quality index so far in 2023 compared to the last 7 years excluding the Covid-19 outbreak.
