UT Khader elected as Karnataka Assembly Speaker

• The Congress government took charge in Karnataka on the 20th under the leadership of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. After this, RV Deshpande was appointed as the temporary chairman of the council. Appointment of S. Vaithyanathan as the Chief Justice of Madras High Court - President's Order

Investors conference in Singapore - 6 MoUs signed in presence of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin

• Chief Minister M. K. Stalin has visited Singapore and Japan. The Chief Minister left Chennai yesterday (23rd) for an official visit to Singapore and Japan with the aim of promoting Tamil Nadu's economic and trade relations with these two countries, calling for the World Investors Conference to be held in Chennai in January 2024, and attracting investments to Tamil Nadu.

• An MoU was signed between Tamil Nadu Career Guidance Institute and Singapore University of Technology & Design (SUTD).
• An MoU was signed between Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation and ITE Education Services from Singapore.

The Prime Minister was addressing the Business Roundtable in Sydney

• Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed a Business Roundtable with CEOs of leading Australian companies in Sydney. The CEOs who participated in the conference were from leading companies operating in various sectors including steel, banking, energy, mining and information technology. Vice-Chancellors of some of Australia's leading universities also participated in the roundtable.

• Union Health Minister Mr Mansukh Mandavia addressed the 76th World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland. Director-General of the World Health Organization, Mr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and health ministers of various countries participated in it. 
• Addressing the conference on the theme of Health for All, Mr. Mansukh Mandaviya said that India is prepared for health emergencies and India prioritizes health services.
• Addressing another session at the conference on the theme 'Treatment in India, Treatment by India', Mr. Mansukh Mandaviya said that this theme is based on India's vision of One Earth, One Healthcare. He mentioned that India is home to the oldest system of medicine, Ayurveda. He said that the demand for AYUSH medical systems continues to increase worldwide.
