Chief Minister M. K. Stalin inaugurated the flyover in Thiagaraya Nagar, Chennai
  • Visitors to Thiagaraya, Chennai's largest commercial city, have to get off at Mambalam railway station and go through the rush hour to get to T. Nagar bus station.
  • In order to reduce this congestion, a 13 feet wide 1,968 feet long pedestrian flyover has been constructed under the 'Smart City' project at a cost of Rs.30 crore from T. Nagar Bus Stand to Mambalam Railway Station via Madli Road, Border Road.
  • Chief Minister M.K.Stalin inaugurated this skywalk with lift facility and moving staircase facility. The flyover has been integrated with the Mambalam railway station flyover so that rail passengers from South Tamil Nadu and passengers traveling by electric train can reach Thiagaraya Nagar bus stand without difficulty. 
  • This flyover has generators, CCTV cameras connected to the police watch room. Additional facilities like public announcement loudspeakers, stainless steel dustbins, guard rooms, modern toilets have been installed.
PM Modi issues appointment orders to 71,000 selected candidates for central government jobs
  • Last year, Prime Minister Modi announced that ten lakh people would be given employment under the central government's Rojkar Mela scheme before the Lok Sabha elections next year. Accordingly, appointment orders are issued to those appointed to central government jobs at various stages.
  • In this context, Prime Minister Modi addressed 71,000 people in central government departments under the Rojkar Mela scheme today through video. Central Ministers and senior officers participated in these programs held at 45 places across the country and issued appointment orders to those selected for central government jobs.
  • Also, appointment orders were issued today to the post inspectors, typist, fireman, teacher, graduate teacher, assistant registrar and other posts.
A new species of lizard discovered in Vallanadu region is named "Muthu Chehil"

  • In this case, last April, a group of five researchers from the organization conducted research in Vallanadu, Pavakadu and Kurumalai reserve forests near Kovilpatti. Rameswaran Mariyappan, a reptile conservationist from Tirunelveli, was on the team. They discovered a new species of lizard near Parvati Amman Temple, Vallannadu Reserve, Manakarai and Perumal Temple in Kurumalai Reserve Forest.
  • This school is also named as Quartzite Brookish Gecko or Tuticorin Brookish Gecko in Tamil as Muthu Chethil Palli. Regarding this lizard species, it is the 53rd lizard species in India and the 7th lizard species in Tamil Nadu. This rare species of lizard is unique. Its back plants, the thigh is strange.
