• உலக வளர்ச்சி குறித்த IMF அறிக்கை / IMF REPORT ON WORLD GROWTH: ரஷ்யா - உக்ரைன் போர் தீவிரமடைந்து வரும் வேளையில், கொரோனா தொற்று பாதிப்பு நீடித்து வருகிறது. இதோடு உலகின் பல நாடுகள் இறுக்கமான நிதி நிலைமைகளை எதிர்த்துப் போராடி வரும் நிலையில் சர்வதேச பொருளாதாரத்திற்கு இந்த ஆண்டு மந்தமான வளர்ச்சியை பதிவு செய்ய அதிக வாய்ப்பு உள்ளதாகவும் கணித்துள்ளது.
• சர்வதேச பொருளாதார வளர்ச்சி மீடியம் டேர்ம்-ல் வளர்ச்சிக்கான வாய்ப்புகள் பல தசாப்தங்களில் மந்தமாக உள்ளதாாக IMF அதன் World Economic Outlook அறிக்கையில் தெரிவித்துள்ளது. 
• இதன் மூலம் 2023 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான உலகளாவிய வளர்ச்சி அளவீடு முன்பு கணிக்கப்பட்ட அளவான 2.9 சதவீதத்தில் இருந்து 2.8 சகவீதமாக குறைந்துள்ளது. இது மட்டும் அல்லாமல் 2022 ஆம் ஆண்டில் பதிவான 3.4 சதவீதத்தை காட்டிலும் குறைவாகவே இருக்கும் என கணிக்கப்பட்டு உள்ளது.
• உலக நாடுகளின் வளர்ச்சிக்காக நிதியுதவி செய்யும் சர்வதேச நாணய நிதியம் ஜனவரி மாதத்தில் இந்தியாவின் மொத்த உள்நாட்டு உற்பத்தி 2024 ஆம் நிதியாண்டில் 6.1 சதவீதமும், 2025 ஆம் நிதியாண்டில் 6.8 சதவீதமாக வளரும் என முன்பு கணித்திருந்தது. 
• ஆனால் இப்போது 2025 ஆம் நிதியாண்டில் 6.3 சதவீதம் மட்டுமே வளர்ச்சி அடையும் என கணித்துள்ளது.
• இந்தியாவின் வளர்ச்சி அளவீடுகள் குறைக்கப்பட்டாலும், அடுத்த இரண்டு ஆண்டுகளில் இந்தியா வேகமாக வளரும் பொருளாதாரமாக இருக்கும் எனவும் ஐஎம்எப் கணித்துள்ளது. நடப்பு ஆண்டில் இந்தியாவின் பணவீக்கம் 4.9% ஆகவும், அடுத்த நிதியாண்டில் 4.4% ஆகவும் குறையும் என்று IMF கணித்துள்ளது.
• கடந்த வாரம், உலக வங்கி மற்றும் ஆசிய வளர்ச்சி வங்கி ஆகியவை 2024 நிதியாண்டிற்கான இந்தியாவின் வளர்ச்சி கணிப்பை 6.3% மற்றும் 6.4% ஆக குறைத்துள்ளன. இந்த நிலையில் 3வது சர்வதேச அமைப்பாக சர்வதேச நாணய நிதியம் 5.9 சதவீதமாக குறைத்துள்ளது.

• As the Russia-Ukraine war intensifies, the impact of the Corona virus continues. It also predicts that the global economy is more likely to record sluggish growth this year as many countries around the world struggle with tight financial conditions.
• International economic growth in the medium term is the weakest in decades, the IMF said in its World Economic Outlook report.
• This reduces the global growth rate for 2023 to 2.8 percent from the previously forecasted level of 2.9 percent. Not only this, it is projected to be lower than the 3.4 percent recorded in 2022.
• The International Monetary Fund, which supports global development, had earlier projected India's GDP growth at 6.1 percent in fiscal 2024 and 6.8 percent in fiscal 2025 in January.
• But it now predicts growth of only 6.3 percent in FY2025. The IMF also predicts that India will be the fastest growing economy in the next two years, even if India's growth metrics are lowered. The IMF has forecast India's inflation to slow to 4.9% this year and 4.4% in the next fiscal.
• Last week, the World Bank and Asian Development Bank cut India's growth forecast for fiscal 2024 to 6.3% and 6.4%. In this situation the International Monetary Fund as the 3rd international organization has reduced it to 5.9 percent.
