Manik Saha was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tripura for the second time in the presence of Prime Minister Modi
- The north-eastern state of Tripura was considered a bastion of the Left. In the last 2018 Legislative Assembly elections there, the BJP won overwhelmingly for the first time and formed the government.
