The Prime Minister chaired a high-level review meeting on preparedness to face summer temperatures

• Prime Minister Shri. A high-level review meeting was held at Narendra Modi's residence, chaired by him. The Prime Minister was briefed by the India Meteorological Department about the climate forecast and normal rainfall for the next few months. 
• He was also briefed on climate impact on rabi season crops and yield of major crops. Irrigation water supply, fodder and drinking water were also discussed in detail in this meeting. The prime minister was also briefed on the preparedness of the states in times of emergency and the study of hospital infrastructure for required supplies. 
• The Prime Minister was also briefed on temperature related disaster preparedness and mitigation measures. Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, Cabinet Secretary, Secretaries of Home Affairs, Health and Family Welfare, Agriculture, Geosciences, Member Secretary of National Disaster Management Authority and others participated in this meeting.
