Prime Minister Modi inaugurated a new metro station in Bengaluru
  • Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the new metro line from the Whitefield area of Bengaluru, Karnataka to Krishnarajapura, a distance of 13.7 km at a cost of Rs 4,250 crore.
  • He took a metro train ticket and traveled on the new route. He then discussed with many parties who traveled by train.
  • Earlier, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the Srimadhusudhan Sai Center for Medical Sciences and Research (SMSIMSR) at Satyasai village near Muthenahalli in Chikkaballapura district of Karnataka yesterday. It is established by Sri Sathya Sai University. This college is functioning from this academic year. 
  • With a vision to make medical education commercial-free, this medical college is set up in rural areas. This medical college offers medical education and quality medical treatment completely free of charge. Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Pommy, State Health Minister Sudhakar and Madhusuthan Sai participated in the event.
World Cup Shooting - India's Manupakar wins bronze
  • In this series which is being held in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, a medal match was held yesterday in the women's 25m pistol category. In this, India's Manubakar bagged the bronze medal with 20 points. 
  • Doreen of Germany won the gold medal with 30 points and Yu Xiu of China won the silver medal with 29 points. Manubhakar has just won a medal after two years in an international competition.
Women's World Boxing Championships - India's Neetu, Savity win Gold
  • India's 22-year-old Neetu Kangas played against Mongolia's Lutsaikon Altansetsek in the final of the 48 kg weight category yesterday in the ongoing series in Delhi. Commonwealth Games gold medalist Neetu Kangas launched his attack aggressively. Neetu was effective with his punches and rocked Lutsaigon Altancecek with a 5-0 win to clinch the gold medal.
  • In the final round of the 81 kg category, 3-time Asian Games medalist Savity Pura of India clashed with 2018 world champion Lina Wang of China. Saviti Pura won the gold medal with a score of 4-3. This is Saveti Pura's 2nd medal at the World Championships. He won the silver medal in 2014.
  • India has so far won 12 golds in the history of Women's World Boxing Championships. Only Mary Kom was chasing 6 gold medals. Apart from her, Sarita Devi (2006), Jenny (2006), Lekha (2006) and Nikat Zareen (2022) have also won the World Champion title. Currently, Neetu Gangas and Saweeti Pura have won gold.
National Aluminum Corporation – Baba Atomic Research Center jointly launched India's first bauxite CRM
  • National Aluminum Corporation (Nalco), India's leading aluminum producer and aluminum exporter under the Union Ministry of Mines, has successfully developed a bauxite reference material (CRM) named BARC B1201 in association with Baba Atomic Research Center (BARC).
  • It is India's first and world's 5th CRM. BARC B1201 was formally launched on March 24 at the Nalco Research and Technology Center in Bhubaneswar in the presence of senior officials.
