6G Research and Development Test Center - Launched by PM Modi
  • PM Modi inaugurates 6G Technology Research and Testing Centre. In November 2021, various ministries, departments, research and development institutions, academic groups, standardization bodies, telecommunication service providers, industry and others jointly formed the 6G Technology Innovation Committee to develop action plans related to 6G service in India. This group has prepared a Bharat 6G vision document.
  • In this context, Prime Minister Modi unveiled the Bharat 6G vision document and inaugurated the 6G Research and Development Test Facility and the International Telecommunications Regional Office and Innovation Center at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi yesterday.
Sarabjit wins gold in ISSE World Cup Shooting Championship
  • India's Sarabjot Singh won the gold medal in men's 10m air pistol at the ISSE World Cup Shooting Championships in Bhopal. In the final, he faced Azerbaijan's Ruslan Lunev with a stunning 16-0 victory to take the top spot. 
  • Ruslan was satisfied with the silver medal. Varun Tomar, another Indian who participated in the same category, finished 3rd and bagged a bronze medal.
India's first PM Mitra Park in Virudhunagar in the presence of Chief Minister M K Stalin MoU with 11 companies
  • India's first PM Mitra Park is located in Virudhunagar district. In the presence of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin and Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food, Public Distribution and Welfare Piyush Goyal yesterday at Anna Centenary Library Hall, India's first Prime Minister's Integrated Textile Zone and Garment Park, Virudhunagar District, E. MoUs to start at Kumaralingapuram were held between the Tamil Nadu government and the Union government.
  • The Prime Minister's Integrated Textile Zone and Garment Park in Virudhunagar district will be developed by Chipcott at a total cost of Rs 2,000 crore. Apart from the basic infrastructure facilities, special infrastructure facilities such as ready-to-start trade unions, housing for industrial workers, green energy including wind and solar power generation, and a zero-emission public waste treatment plant will be set up in the park. The park will provide employment to around 2,00,000 people when fully operational.
  • A total of 11 MoUs have been signed with 7 major industrial companies, Tamil Nadu Mentoring Company and 4 micro, small and medium textile industry companies to start business in this park. This will attract an investment of Rs.1,231 crore and create employment for 6,315 people. Businesses and entrepreneurs are taking advantage of all the opportunities available in Tamil Nadu.
Introduction of Lawyers Protection Bill - Rajasthan Government Action Notification
  • The Rajasthan Government has introduced the Advocates Protection Bill for the first time in the country. The Rajasthan government has passed a bill that would punish those involved in the offense of assaulting, injuring or threatening lawyers with a jail term of up to seven years or a fine of up to ₹50,000.
Prime Minister chairs High Level Review Meeting on Public Health Preparedness and Situation for Prevention of Covid-19 and Influenza
  • A high-level meeting was held in New Delhi under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on preparedness to face the situation of Covid-19 and Influenza throughout the country.
  • It examined health infrastructure facilities, vaccination camps, Covid-19 emergency measures and public health measures to deal with influenza. This high-level meeting was held in the last 2 weeks as the number of cases of Covid-19 infection increased across the country.
  • In this meeting, the Union Health and Family Welfare Secretary addressed the global situation of Covid-19 and the increase in the number of infections in India. The Prime Minister was briefed on the slight increase in the number of Covid-19 infections in India. 
  • That is, in the week ending March 22, 2023, the daily average number of new Covid-19 cases in India was 888 and the weekly infection rate was 0.98 percent. Statistics show that an average of 1.08 lakh people have been affected every day in the world during this week.
