24 thousand crores loan to Sri Lanka which is stuck in economic crisis: International Monetary Fund approves
- Sri Lanka is facing severe economic crisis since last year. Following this, various countries are helping Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan government also approached the International Monetary Fund for further loan assistance.
- In this regard, the International Monetary Fund held talks with the Sri Lankan government at various stages. Following this, the Executive Committee of the International Monetary Fund on Monday approved a loan of $3 billion i.e. Rs 24.8 thousand crore to Sri Lanka under the Extended Financial Facility.
- 333 million dollars and Rs.2727 crore will be given immediately as the first tranche. Following this, the International Monetary Fund will provide loan assistance to the Sri Lankan government in various installments.
- Asian Cup Archery 'Leg-1' was held in Chinese Taipei. In the men's 'recurve' category finals, Rahul and Rampal Chaudhary clashed on behalf of Indian players. The first set was a 'tie'. Rahul won the next set with a score of 6-2 and won the gold medal. Rampal won the silver medal.
- In the men's 'recurve' team final, the Indian team consisting of Rahul, Rampal and Parth Sushant met the Saudi Arabian team. India won the first two sets to take a 4-0 lead.
