Earth Hour 2023 / புவி நேரம் 2023: புவி வெப்பமயமாதல்,காலைநிலை மாறுபாடு உள்ளிட்ட சுற்றுசூழல் பாதிப்புகள் குறித்து விழிப்புணர்வு ஏற்படுத்தும் வகையில் ஆண்டுதோறும் மார்ச் மாதத்தின் கடைசி சனிக்கிழமை 'புவி நேரம்' (Earth Hour) கடைப்பிடிக்கப்படுகிறது.
சுற்றுச்சூழலை பாதுகாப்பதன் முக்கியத்தும் குறித்து பேசும் நோக்கில் உலக இயற்கை நிதியத்தின் (World Wildlife Fund (WWF)) முன்னெடுப்பில் கடந்த 2007 ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் 'புவி நேரம்’ கடைப்பிடிக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது.
காலநிலை மாற்றத்துக்கு எதிராக உலக மக்களை ஒருங்கிணைக்கும் பணியை இந்த அமைப்பு செய்து வருகிறது என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
அதென்ன ’புவி நேரம்’?
Earth Hour 2023 / புவி நேரம் 2023: புவி நேரம் அறிமுகம்படுத்தப்பட்ட அடுத்த ஆண்டு 2008-ல் 35 நாடுகள் மட்டுமே இந்தத் தினத்தைக் கடைப்பிடித்தன.ஆனால், காலப்போக்கில் 190 நாடுகளில் உள்ள மக்கள் ’புவி நேர’த்தைக் கடைப்பிடிக்க தொடங்கினர்.

இந்நிலையில், ‘புவி நேரம்’ கடைப்பிடிக்கப்படும் நாளில் மட்டும் அத்தியாவசியத் தேவை அல்லாத பிற மின்விளக்குகளை ஒரு மணி நேரம் அணைத்து வைக்குமாறு கோரிக்கை வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதன் மூலம் சுற்றுச்சூழல் பாதுகாப்பிற்கு மக்கள் துணை புரியலாம் என்று தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
மின்சாரத்தை மிச்சப்படுத்துவது,ஆற்றலைப் பாதுகாப்பது மக்கள் தங்கள் பங்களிப்பை அளிக்கலாம். இந்தப் பூமிக்கு அனைவருக்குமானது; அதன் நன்மைக்காக மக்கள் ஒன்றிணைய வேண்டுன் என்று உலக இயற்கை நிதியம் கேட்டுக்கொண்டுள்ளது.

Earth Hour 2023 / புவி நேரம் 2023: இந்தாண்டிற்கான 'புவி நேரம்’ வரும் இன்று (சனிக்கிழமை) இரவு 8.30 முதல் 9.30 வரை கடைப்பிடிக்கப்பட இருக்கிறது. ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் இது குறித்த விழிப்புணர்வை மக்களிடம் எடுத்துச் செல்ல பிரச்சார பொறுப்பாளர் ஒருவர் நியமிக்கப்படுவர்.
அந்த வகையில், இந்த ஆண்டின் ’புவி நேர’த்தை மிகப்பெரிய அளவில் மக்களிடம் எடுத்துச்செல்லும் நோக்கில், ரிக்கி கேஜ் (Ricky Kej) எனும் இசையமைப்பாளரை அதன் பிரச்சார முகமாக உலக இயற்கை நிதியம் அறிவித்திருந்தது. மூன்று முறை கிராமி விருது பெற்ற ஒரே இந்தியர் எனும் பெருமைக்குச் சொந்தக்காரர் இவர்.
