Prasanda becomes the Prime Minister of Nepal
- In our neighboring country Nepal, the parliamentary elections were held on November 20. In this, the ruling party Nepali Congress has won 275 seats in the People's Representative Council and is the single largest party.
- Regarding the formation of the new government, the Nepali Congress has engaged in talks with allied parties and supporting parties. Before the elections, the Nepali Congress entered into an alliance with the Communist Party of Nepal led by former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Prasanda.
- Accordingly, it was decided that in the five-year rule, both the parties would hold the office of Prime Minister for two and a half years each. President Vidya Devi Bhandari has given only one week's time to form a new government. As this period comes to an end, there is a sudden twist.
- Former Prime Minister Nepal Communist-Unified Marxist-Leninist Party leader K.P. Prasanda met and spoke to Sharma Oli. Then many smaller parties also joined it.
- In this speech, it was decided that Pushpagamal Prasanda would be the Prime Minister for the first two and a half years and KP Sharma Oli for the next two and a half years. This alliance is said to have the support of 165 MPs.
Ravichandran Ashwin's record in world cricket history

Virudhunagar District tops in Bank Account Insurance Scheme - Niti Aayog Notification
- In January 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Progressive District Scheme to improve backward districts as per Niti Aayog report. Based on that, various measures have been taken by the Virudhunagar district administration to make continuous progress in basic infrastructure including education, agriculture and water resources, financial services for all and capacity building, road facilities, potable water, rural electricity facilities, individual household toilet facilities.
- As part of this, the central government's Niti Aayog has announced that Virudhunagar has topped the list of districts with the highest number of registered bank accounts and insurance schemes.
- Accordingly, in Virudhunagar district Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bhima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bhima Yojana and Atal Benson schemes have been taken up by 68 bank branches in 111 villages and 21 banks have achieved 100% percentage target.
