- ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் டிசம்பர் 24 ஆம் தேதி இந்தியாவில் ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட கருப்பொருளுடன் தேசிய நுகர்வோர் தினமாக அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. இந்த நாளில் நுகர்வோர் பாதுகாப்பு சட்டம் 1986 ஜனாதிபதியின் ஒப்புதலைப் பெற்றது.
- இந்தச் சட்டம் இயற்றப்பட்டது, நாட்டில் நுகர்வோர் இயக்கத்தில் ஒரு வரலாற்று மைல்கல்லாகக் கருதப்படுகிறது.
- நுகர்வோர் இயக்கத்தின் முக்கியத்துவத்தையும், ஒவ்வொரு நுகர்வோர் தங்கள் உரிமைகள் மற்றும் பொறுப்புகள் குறித்து மேலும் விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்த வேண்டியதன் அவசியத்தையும் தனி நபர்களுக்கு இந்த நாள் வழங்குகிறது.
வரலாறு
2021க்கான தீம்- இந்திய அரசு டிசம்பர் 24ஆம் தேதியை தேசிய நுகர்வோர் தினமாக அறிவித்தது, அதே நாளில் இந்தியக் குடியரசுத் தலைவர் மைல்கல்லான நுகர்வோர் பாதுகாப்புச் சட்டம், 1986 இயற்றப்படுவதற்கு ஒப்புதல் அளித்தார்.
- இது தவிர, ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் மார்ச் 15 உலக நுகர்வோர் உரிமை தினமாக கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. இந்த நாள் இந்திய நுகர்வோர் இயக்க வரலாற்றில் பொன் எழுத்துக்களால் எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்தியாவில் 2000 ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் முறையாக இந்த நாள் கொண்டாடப்பட்டது.
- இந்த ஆண்டு தேசிய நுகர்வோர் தினம், "உங்கள் உரிமைகளை அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்" என்ற தொனிப்பொருளில் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

- Every Year 24th December is observed as National Consumer Day with a specific theme in India. On this day the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 had received the assent of the president.
- The enactment of this Act is considered as a historic milestone in the consumer movement in the country.
- This day provides an opportunity for individuals to highlight the importance of the consumer movement and the need to make every consumer more aware of their rights and responsibilities.
- This year the National Consumer Day is celebrated with the theme “Be aware of your rights'.
- The Government of India has declared 24 December as National Consumer Day, as the President of India had assented to the enactment of the landmark Consumer Protection Act, 1986 on the same day.
- Apart from this, every year 15 March is celebrated as World Consumer Rights Day. This day is written in golden letters in the history of the Indian consumer movement. In India, this day was celebrated for the first time in the year 2000.
