Reservation in Chhattisgarh rises to 76 percent
- Chhattisgarh Public Service (Reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes) Amendment Bill and Chhattisgarh Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Amendment Bill was introduced by Chief Minister Bhupesh Bagel.
- According to these bills, Scheduled Tribes 32 per cent, Other Backward Classes 27 per cent, Scheduled Classes 13 per cent and Economically Backward Sections (EWS) 4 per cent in public employment and admission in educational institutions.
- The Ministry of Coal along with the Ministry of Mines organized an Investors' Conference in Bengaluru on Commercial Coal Mining Auctions and Opportunities in the Mining Sector.
- Union Minister of Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs Mr. Pralhad Joshi presided over the conference.
- Karnataka Chief Minister Mr. Basavaraj Chomappa Tommy was the special guest in this conference, Karnataka Minister of Mines and Geology Mr. Halappa Basappa Achar participated in this conference.
- On this occasion, high officials of coal sector, state government officials, representatives of many companies, investors, representatives of industry associations participated in the conference.
