PM Modi's speech at the G-20 summit

  • The meeting of the world's largest economies known as 'G-20' is being held in Bali, Indonesia. India will assume the leadership of this organization on December 1st. Next year's meeting will be held in New Delhi.
  • Meanwhile, Russia has waged war on the Eastern European country of Ukraine. Consequently, there was a shortage of petrol and diesel all over the world. In this context, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a meeting in Bali yesterday on the topic of food and energy security.
  • In this meeting attended by the leaders of the G-20 countries, in response to them, Prime Minister Modi said: The Second World War took place in the last century and caused great damage to the world.

Health Conference 2022

Indo-US Joint Military Exercise “Yud Abhyas 2022”
  • The 18th Indo-US joint military exercise “Yud Abhyas 2022” will begin this month in Uttarakhand. Such training is conducted annually between the armies of the two countries with the aim of exchanging best practices, strategies and technologies. The previous exercise was held in Alaska, USA in October 2021.
  • Soldiers from the US Army's 11th Airlift Wing and the Assam Regiment of the Indian Army are participating in the exercise.
  • During this exercise, activities related to peacekeeping and peacekeeping will also take place. The joint exercise will also focus on humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations. Both countries will be trained in quick and coordinated implementation of relief operations during natural calamities.
Mineral production up 4.6% in September 2022
  • Mining and Quarrying Mineral Production Index (Base 2011-12=100) for September 2022 was 99.5. This is an increase of 4.6 percent compared to September last year. According to Indian Department of Minerals (IBM) provisional data, overall growth during April-September 2022-23 was 4.2 per cent over the same period last year.
