- தமிழ்நாடு நாள் (Tamilnadu Day) என்பது தமிழருக்கென்று தனித் தாயகம் அல்லது மாநிலம் உருவான நாளைக் குறிப்பிடும் நாளாகும்.
- இந்திய மாநில விடுதலைக்குப் பிறகு மொழிவழியில் பிரிக்கப்படவேண்டும் என்ற கோரிக்கை வலுத்த நிலையில் அதை இந்திய ஒன்றிய அரசு ஏற்க மறுத்து வந்தது. ஆனால் இக்கோரிக்கை முதலில் ஆந்திர மக்களால் கடுமையாக செயல்படுத்தப்பட்டது.
- கலவரங்களும் ஏற்பட்டன. இதனால் இந்திய ஒன்றிய அரசு வேறு வழியின்றி 1 நவம்பர் 1956-இல் இந்தியாவை மொழிவாரி மாநிலங்களாகப் பிரித்தது.
- இதன்படி, சென்னை மாநிலத்திலிருந்து மலையாளம், தெலுங்கு மற்றும் கன்னட மொழிகள் பேசிய பகுதிகளைக் கொண்டு, கேரளா, ஆந்திரப் பிரதேசம், மைசூர் மாநிலங்கள் நிறுவப்பட்டன.
- சென்னை மாகாணத்தின் எஞ்சிய பகுதிகளும், திருவிதாங்கூரின் தமிழ் பகுதிகளும் இணைக்கப்பட்டு சென்னை மாகாணம் பிரிக்கப்பட்டது.
- சென்னை மாநிலத்தை மொழிவாரியாக பிரித்த நாளான நவம்பர் 1 ஆம் தேதி தமிழ்நாடு நாளாக கொண்டாடுவதற்கான அரசாணையை தமிழ்நாடு அரசு 25 அக்டோபர் 2019 அன்று வெளியிட்டது.
- இந்நிலையில் 2021 இல் புதியதாக பொறுபேற்ற மு. க. ஸ்டாலின் தலைமையிலான திமுக அரசு சென்னை மாநிலத்தின் பெயரை தமிழ்நாடு என்ற மாற்றுச் சட்டப் பேரவையில் தீர்மானம் நிறைவேற்றிய திமுக, சூலை 18 அன்று தமிழ்நாடு நாள் விழா கொண்டாடப்படும் என்று அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது.
- Tamil Nadu Day is a day that commemorates the creation of a separate homeland or state for Tamils. After the independence of the Indian state, the demand to be separated on the basis of language was strong and the Union Government of India refused to accept it.
- But this demand was first vigorously enforced by the people of Andhra Pradesh. There were riots. Thus, the Union Government of India had no choice but to divide India into linguistic states on 1 November 1956. Accordingly, the states of Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Mysore were established out of the Madras state with Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada speaking areas.
- The remaining parts of Madras Province and the Tamil parts of Travancore were annexed, and Madras Province was divided. On 25 October 2019, the Government of Tamil Nadu issued an ordinance to celebrate 1 November as Tamil Nadu Day, the day of linguistic division of Chennai state.
- In this case, in 2021, M.K. The DMK government, led by Stalin, passed a resolution in the Legislative Assembly to name the state of Chennai as Tamil Nadu, and it was announced that the Tamil Nadu Day would be celebrated on July 18.
