11th September is henceforth 'Mahakavi Day' - Tamil Nadu Government Notification

  • Mahakavi Bharathiar is a mixture of Tamil love, god love, patriotism and human love. Not only fought for the freedom of India. He wrote for social and economic rights and has remained in people's minds with his poems.
  • Mahakavi Bharatiyar has passed away for a hundred years, but the poems, essays and songs he left behind for the Tamil community will be alive even after a thousand years.
  • To honor the memory of Bharathiyar, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin had issued 14 important announcements to mark the centenary of his death. One of them is that September 11 (tomorrow), Bharatiyar's memorial day, will be observed as 'Mahkavi Day'.

  • Bipin Rawat, who was India's first tri-army commander, died tragically on December 8 when he met with an accident in a helicopter while he was visiting the Coonoor military training school.
  • In this case, the 22 km road from Walong to Gibitu Army Camp in Lohit Pallatak near the Line of Actual Control with China has been named as 'Bipin Rawat Mark' in a ceremony held at Gibitu Army Camp in Arunachal Pradesh. Also, Gibitu Army Camp has been renamed as 'General Bipin Rawat Military Garrison'.

  • Queen Elizabeth II of the European nation of Britain, 96, died recently of old age. Subsequently, according to the custom of the British royal family, Charles III was declared the king of the country in a meeting of a formal body called the Council of Succession at St. James's Palace in London.
  • This would make Charles officially the King of Britain. His crowning ceremony will take place after the Queen's funeral. The funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth II will take place on the 19th. For the first time, the British King's coronation has been broadcast live on TV.

  • Inaugurating the conference, Prime Minister Modi said, "In the 21st century, scientific development should reach all the brain accelerators of India. The state government should pay due attention to promoting innovative activities. 
  • In 2015, India was ranked 81st in the International Innovation Index. Due to the continuous efforts of the central government, it has now advanced to the 45th position. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Union Minister Jitendra Singh and others participated in the inauguration ceremony.
