• கர்ப்பிணி மற்றும் பாலூட்டும் தாய்மார்களுக்கான மகளிர் மற்றும் குழந்தைகள் மேம்பாட்டு அமைச்சகத்தின் (MWCD) இந்தத் திட்டம் இந்திரா காந்தி மாத்ரித்வா சஹ்யோக் யோஜனா (IGMSY) - ஒரு நிபந்தனை மகப்பேறு நன்மைத் திட்டம். இது 100% மத்திய நிதியுதவி திட்டமாகும், 
• நாடு முழுவதும் 53 மாவட்டங்களில் சோதனை அடிப்படையில் 2010-11ல் அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்ட நிபந்தனை பண பரிமாற்ற திட்டமாகும். இத்திட்டம் நாட்டின் அனைத்து மாவட்டங்களுக்கும் விரிவுபடுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. 01.01.2017.

IGMSY இன் நோக்கங்கள்

• கர்ப்பிணி மற்றும் பாலூட்டும் (P & L) பெண்கள் மற்றும் அவர்களின் இளம் குழந்தைகளின் ஆரோக்கியம் மற்றும் ஊட்டச்சத்து நிலையை மேம்படுத்த:
• ரொக்க ஊக்கத்தொகையின் அடிப்படையில் ஊதிய இழப்பிற்கு ஓரளவு இழப்பீடு வழங்குதல், இதன் மூலம் முதல் உயிருள்ள குழந்தையைப் பெற்றெடுக்கும் முன்னும் பின்னும் பெண் போதுமான ஓய்வு எடுக்க முடியும்.
• வழங்கப்படும் பணச் சலுகைகள், கர்ப்பிணிப் பெண்கள் மற்றும் பாலூட்டும் தாய் (PW&LM) மத்தியில் மேம்பட்ட ஆரோக்கியம் தேடும் நடத்தைக்கு வழிவகுக்கும், இது ஊட்டச்சத்துக் குறைபாட்டின் விளைவுகளைத் தடுக்கிறது, அதாவது வளர்ச்சி குன்றியது, விரயம் மற்றும் பிற தொடர்புடைய பிரச்சனைகள்.
• கர்ப்பம், சுகப் பிரசவம் மற்றும் பாலூட்டும் போது தகுந்த நடைமுறைகள், பராமரிப்பு மற்றும் சேவையைப் பயன்படுத்துதல்.
• முதல் ஆறு மாதங்களுக்கு ஆரம்ப மற்றும் பிரத்தியேகமான தாய்ப்பால் உட்பட (உகந்த) குழந்தை மற்றும் இளம் குழந்தைகளுக்கு (IYCF) நடைமுறைகளை பின்பற்ற பெண்களை ஊக்குவித்தல்.

இத்திட்டத்தின் கீழ், பின்வரும் நிபந்தனைகளின்படி கர்ப்பிணி மற்றும் பாலூட்டும் பெண்களுக்கு பண உதவி வடிவில் நன்மை வழங்கப்படுகிறது

• கர்ப்பிணிப் பெண்களுக்கு 19 வயது மற்றும் அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட வயதுடைய முதல் குழந்தை பிறந்தால், அவர்களுக்கு இந்த நன்மை தடைசெய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• பெண் அல்லது அவரது கணவர் அரசு / பொதுத்துறை நிறுவனத்தில் (மத்திய மற்றும் மாநிலம்) பணிபுரிவதில்லை
• தகுதியுள்ள கர்ப்பிணிப் பெண்கள் மற்றும் பாலூட்டும் தாய்மார்களுக்கு மூன்று தவணைகளில் ரூ.5,000/- ரொக்கப் பலன் கிடைக்கும்.

ENGLISH

• This scheme of the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) for pregnant and lactating mothers is called Indira Gandhi Matritva Sahyog Yojana (IGMSY) – a Conditional Maternity Benefit Scheme. 
• It is a 100% centrally sponsored scheme, conditional cash transfer scheme introduced in 2010-11 on pilot basis in 53 districts across the country. The scheme has been extended to all districts of the country w.e.f. 01.01.2017.

Objectives of IGMSY

• To improve the health and nutrition status of Pregnant and Lactating (P & L) women and their young infants by:
• To provide partial compensation for the wage loss in terms of cash incentives so that the woman can take adequate rest before and after delivery of the first living child.
• The cash incentives provided would lead to improved health seeking behaviour amongst the Pregnant Women and Lactating Mother (PW&LM) to reduce the effects of under-nutrition namely stunting, wasting and other related problems.
• Promoting appropriate practices, care and service utilization during pregnancy, safe delivery and lactation.
• Encouraging women to follow (optimal) Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) practices including early and exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months.

Under this Scheme, benefit is provided in the form of cash assistance to pregnant and lactating women as per the following conditions

• The benefit is restricted to pregnant women for the birth of the first live child provided they are of 19 years of age and above.
• The woman or her husband does not work in Government / Public Sector Undertaking (Central and State)
• Pregnant Women and Lactating Mothers who are eligible will receive a cash benefit of Rs.5,000/- in three installment
