- பெண்களின் சமத்துவம் என்பது கல்வி, வேலை, ஊதியம், வாய்ப்புகள், வாக்களிக்கும் உரிமை, அரசியல் என்று அனைத்திலும் ஆண்களுக்கு சமமாக பெண்களையும் நடத்துவதாகும். சட்டத்திற்கு முன் அனைவரும் சமம் என்பது போல் எல்லா வாய்ப்புகளிலும் சம உரிமை வேண்டும் என்று பெண்கள் தங்களுக்காக போராடத் தொடங்கினர்.
- 1900களின் முற்பகுதியில், பின்லாந்து, நியூசிலாந்து மற்றும் யுனைடெட் கிங்டம் உள்ளிட்ட பல நாடுகள் பெண்களுக்கு வாக்களிக்கும் உரிமையை சட்டப்பூர்வமாக்கின.
