World's tallest railway bridge inaugurated in Jammu and Kashmir
- The construction of a 1,178-feet railway bridge across the river Chenab between Pakkal and Gauri in Jammu's Riasi district was started in 2004. The length of this bridge is 4,314 feet. In 2017, the foundation work was completed and the construction of the arch began. It is constructed as a steel and concrete bridge.
- The construction of its curved section was completed last April. With almost all the work on the railway bridge completed, the Chenab Railway Bridge was inaugurated, connecting Kashmir's Srinagar with the rest of the country for the first time.
- After all the work is completed, the bridge will be 35 meters taller than the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. The bridge is expected to be operational by December.
- Veeramankai Velunachiyar Isaiyarntha Dance Inauguration Ceremony was held at Chennai Kalaiwanar Arena on behalf of Department of Arts and Culture, Iyal Music and Theater Council and Department of News and Public Relations.
- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin Veeramankai Velunachiyar, who attended the function, inaugurated the festival.
- For the first time in Tamil Nadu, an international graduation festival has started in Mamallapuram. It was inaugurated by Minister Tha.Mo.Anparasan and Mathiventhan. People from USA, Thailand and artists from Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka have participated in this.
