- விக்யான் பிரதிபா திட்டம் 8, 9 மற்றும் 10 ஆம் வகுப்பு மாணவர்களுடன் இணைந்து அறிவியல் மற்றும் கணிதத்தில் அவர்களின் திறமையை வளர்த்துக் கொள்ள பல்வேறு மற்றும் உயரடுக்கு அல்லாத பின்னணியைச் சேர்ந்த மாணவர்களுடன் இணைந்து பணியாற்றுவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
- விஞ்ஞானம் மற்றும் தொடர்புடைய துறைகளில் மாணவர்கள் நுழைவதை எளிதாக்குவதையும், இறுதியில் பின்தங்கிய பிரிவைச் சேர்ந்த மாணவர்கள் மீது சிறப்பு கவனம் செலுத்துவதன் மூலம் நாட்டில் உள்ள உயர்தர அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்ப நிபுணர்களின் தொகுப்பிற்கு பங்களிப்பதையும் விக்யான் பிரதிபா நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
- இந்தத் திட்டம், ஆழ்ந்த புரிதல், பாராட்டு மற்றும் பாடத்தைப் பற்றிய உற்சாக உணர்வின் அடிப்படையில் தரமான மற்றும் நன்கு வளர்ந்த அறிவியல் மற்றும் கணிதக் கல்வியை ஆதரிப்பதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
- தற்போது, திட்டத்திற்கான இலக்கு பள்ளிகள் கேந்திரிய வித்யாலயா (கேவி) சங்கதன் அமைப்பின் தோராயமாக 1500 பள்ளிகள், ஜவஹர் நவோதயா வித்யாலயா (ஜேஎன்வி) சமிதி அமைப்பு மற்றும் அணுசக்தி மத்திய பள்ளிகள் (ஏஇசிஎஸ்) ஆகும்.
- அறிவியல் மற்றும் கணிதம் குறித்த இளம் மாணவர்கள் தங்கள் புரிதலை ஆழப்படுத்தக்கூடிய பள்ளி அமைப்புகளுடன் இடைவெளிகளை உருவாக்க விக்யான் பிரதிபா திட்டமிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.
- உறுதியான கற்றல் பொருட்கள் மற்றும் திட்டங்களின் மூலம் பள்ளி மாணவர்களிடையே கல்விப் பகிர்வு, பகுப்பாய்வு, அவதானிப்பு, கூட்டு கற்றல் மற்றும் விமர்சன சிந்தனை ஆகியவற்றின் கலாச்சாரத்தை உருவாக்க எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.
- இந்தத் திட்டம், நாட்டின் பல்வேறு பின்னணியில் உள்ள மாணவர்களுக்கு அணுகக்கூடிய மற்றும் மாணவர்களின் வாழ்க்கையுடன் தொடர்புடைய அறிவியல் மற்றும் கணிதக் கற்றல் பொருட்களை உருவாக்கும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.
- விஞ்ஞானக் கல்வியாளர்களால் விஞ்ஞானிகளுடன் இணைந்து இந்த பொருள் உருவாக்கப்படும் மற்றும் மாணவர்கள் மற்றும் ஆசிரியர்களின் சமூகத்தின் நிலையான கருத்துடன் உருவாகும்.
- பாடப்புத்தகங்களில் உள்ள உள்ளடக்கம் மற்றும் அவர்களைச் சுற்றியுள்ள இயற்கை, தொழில்நுட்பம் மற்றும் சமூக மாற்றங்களைப் பற்றிய விமர்சனப் புரிதலைக் கொண்டிருக்கும் நாட்டில் உள்ள மாணவர்களின் எண்ணிக்கையை இந்தத் திட்டம் தயார்படுத்தும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.
- ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்கள், கல்வியாளர்கள், நிர்வாகிகள், தொழில்நுட்பவியலாளர்கள், சிவில் சேவை வழங்குநர்கள், மருத்துவப் பயிற்சியாளர்கள் அல்லது சமூக கண்டுபிடிப்பாளர்களாக இருந்தாலும், அவர்கள் தங்களுக்கு ஒரு அர்த்தமுள்ள தொழிலை உருவாக்கிக் கொள்ள சிறந்த நிலையில் இருப்பார்கள்.
- The Vigyan Pratibha aims at promoting talent among students, particularly among those from disadvantaged groups, enabling them to engage in doing quality Science and Mathematics.
- The Vigyan Pratibha project envisages working with classes 8, 9 and 10 students from diverse and non-elite backgrounds to nurture their talent in Science and Mathematics.
- Vigyan Pratibha aims at facilitating students’ entry into careers in Science and related fields and eventually contributing to a pool of high-quality Science and Technology specialists in the country with a special focus on students belonging to disadvantaged groups.
- The programme aims at supporting a quality and well-rounded Science and Mathematics education that is based on deep understanding, appreciation and a sense of excitement about the subject.
- Currently, the target schools for the project are the roughly 1500 schools of the Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Sangathan System, the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Samiti System and the Atomic Energy Central Schools (AECS).
- Vigyan Pratibha is envisioned to create spaces with the school systems in which the young students can deepen their understanding of Science and Mathematics. It is expected to create a culture of academic sharing, analyzing, observing, collective learning and critical thinking among school students through concrete learning material and programmes.
- The programme is expected to generate Science and Mathematics learning material that is accessible to students from different backgrounds in the country and is related to the lives of the students.
- The material will be developed by Science educators in partnership with scientists and will evolve with constant feedback from the students and teachers’ community.
- This programme is expected to prepare a population of students in the country who would have a critical understanding of content in textbooks and of natural, technological, and social changes around them.
- They would be in a better position to carve out a meaningful career for themselves whether as researchers, educationists, administrators, technologists, civil service providers, medical practitioners or social innovators.
