- டாக்டர்கள் மருத்துவத் துறைக்கு செய்யும் அர்ப்பணிப்பை நினைவுபடுத்திக் கொள்ளும் வகையிலும் ஜூலை 1ம் தேதி, டாக்டர்கள் தினம் கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது.
- மேற்கு வங்கத்தின் 2வது முதல்வராக பதவி வகித்தவர் டாக்டர் பி.சி. ராய். சுதந்திர போராட்ட வீரராக மட்டுமல்லாமல், சிறந்த டாக்டராகவும் பணியாற்றிய இவர் பிறந்ததும், மறைந்ததும் ஜூலை முதல் தேதியில் தான்.
- மருத்துவம், அரசியல், நிர்வாகம், கல்வி என தான் பங்கெடுத்த அனைத்து துறைகளிலும் பிறருக்கு முன்மாதிரியாக திகழ்ந்தார். இவரது சேவையை கவுரவிக்கும் விதமாக இவரது பிறந்த தினம் 'தேசிய டாக்டர்கள் தினமாக' கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது.
- மருத்துவம், அறிவியல், கலை, இலக்கியம் போன்ற துறைகளில் சாதனை செய்தவர்களுக்கு 'பி.சி.ராய் தேசிய விருது' வழங்கப்படுகிறது.
தேசிய மருத்துவர்கள் தின தீம் 2022 - முன்னணியில் உள்ள குடும்ப மருத்துவர்கள்
- இந்த ஆண்டு தேசிய மருத்துவர்கள் தினத்தின் கருப்பொருள் -- முன்னணியில் உள்ள குடும்ப மருத்துவர்கள். முழு குடும்பத்தையும் அல்லது ஒரு சமூகத்தையும் பராமரிக்கும் மருத்துவர்களின் பங்களிப்பை தீம் எடுத்துக்காட்டுகிறது
- Doctors Day is observed on 1st July to commemorate the dedication of doctors to the medical field. The 2nd Chief Minister of West Bengal was Dr. B.C. Roy. Not only a freedom fighter but also a great doctor, he was born and passed away on July 1st.
- He was a role model for others in all the fields he participated in like medicine, politics, administration and education. His birthday is observed as 'National Doctors Day' to honor his service.
- 'BC Roy National Award' is given to those who have achieved in the fields of medicine, science, art, literature etc.
- This year's theme for National Physicians Day -- Family Physicians on the Frontline. The theme highlights the contribution of doctors who care for an entire family or a community
