- உலக உணவுப் பாதுகாப்பு தினம் ஆண்டுதோறும் ஜூன் 7 ஆம் தேதி கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது, இது கவனத்தை ஈர்க்கவும், உணவு மூலம் ஏற்படும் அபாயங்களைத் தடுக்கவும், கண்டறிந்து நிர்வகிக்கவும் மற்றும் மனித ஆரோக்கியத்தை மேம்படுத்தவும் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும்.
- பாதுகாப்பான உணவு என்பது நல்ல ஆரோக்கியத்திற்கான மிக முக்கியமான உத்தரவாதங்களில் ஒன்றாகும். பாதுகாப்பற்ற உணவுகள் பல நோய்களுக்குக் காரணம் மற்றும் வளர்ச்சி மற்றும் வளர்ச்சி குறைபாடு, நுண்ணூட்டச் சத்து குறைபாடுகள், தொற்றாத அல்லது தொற்றக்கூடிய நோய்கள் மற்றும் மனநோய் போன்ற பிற மோசமான சுகாதார நிலைமைகளுக்கு பங்களிக்கின்றன. உலகளவில், ஆண்டுதோறும் பத்தில் ஒருவர் உணவு மூலம் பரவும் நோய்களால் பாதிக்கப்படுகின்றனர்.

- உணவு அமைப்புக் கொள்கை வகுப்பாளர்கள், பயிற்சியாளர்கள் மற்றும் முதலீட்டாளர்கள் சுகாதார விளைவுகளை மேம்படுத்துவதற்காக, நிலையான உற்பத்தி மற்றும் பாதுகாப்பான உணவுகளின் நுகர்வு ஆகியவற்றை அதிகரிக்க தங்கள் செயல்பாடுகளை மறுசீரமைக்க அழைக்கப்படுகிறார்கள்.

- அரபு, சீனம், ஆங்கிலம், பிரஞ்சு, ரஷியன் மற்றும் ஸ்பானிஷ் மொழிகளில் கிடைக்கும் பிரச்சார வழிகாட்டி, நான்காவது உலக உணவுப் பாதுகாப்பு தினத்தில் எவ்வாறு பங்கேற்பது என்பது பற்றிய தகவல்களையும் யோசனைகளையும் வழங்குகிறது.
- இந்த முக்கியமான பிரச்சினை பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்த ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் பொதுச் சபை உலக உணவு பாதுகாப்பு தினத்தை 2018இல் நிறுவியது.

- World Food Safety Day is celebrated annually on 7 June to draw attention and mobilize action to prevent, detect and manage foodborne risks and improve human health.
- Safe food is one of the most critical guarantors for good health. Unsafe foods are the cause of many diseases and contribute to other poor health conditions, such as impaired growth and development, micronutrient deficiencies, noncommunicable or communicable diseases and mental illness. Globally, one in ten people are affected by foodborne diseases annually.
- The campaign stresses the need to transform food systems to deliver better health in a sustainable manner in order to prevent most foodborne diseases.
- Food systems policy-makers, practitioners and investors are invited to reorient their activities to increase the sustainable production and consumption of safe foods in order to improve health outcomes.
- WHO, jointly with FAO, is calling on everyone to join the World Food Safety Day campaign to ensure safe food for all.
- The campaign guide, available in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish, presents information and ideas on how to take part in the fourth World Food Safety Day.
- The United Nations General Assembly established World Food Safety Day in 2018 to raise awareness of this important issue.
- WHO and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) jointly facilitate the observance of World Food Safety Day, in collaboration with Member States and other stakeholders.
- The theme for World Food Safety Day 2022 is 'Safer food, better health'. The theme was announced by the World Health Organization (WHO) and underlines the fact that safer food is the key to better human health
