- உலக ரத்த கொடையாளர் தினம் ஜூன் 14 ஆம் தேதி ஆண்டுதோறும் கடைப்பிடிக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. இதன் நோக்கமே, ரத்த தானம் பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வை மக்களிடையே ஏற்படுத்தி, அவர்களின் ரத்த வகையை அறிந்து கொள்வதோடு, 'உயிர்காக்க' உதிரம் (ரத்தம்) கொடுக்க வேண்டுமென்பதே.
- ரத்த தானம் வழங்க ஆண், பெண் இருபாலரும் முன்வரும்போதும் அதற்கான தேவை என்னமோ அதிகரிக்கவே செய்கிறது. ரத்தம் இல்லாமல் நிறைய அறுவை சிகிச்சைகள் தள்ளிப் போயிருக்கின்றன.
ரத்தப் பிரிவுகள் கண்டுபிடிப்பு
- 1900ஆம் ஆண்டு டாக்டர் கார்ல் லாண்ட்ஸ்டீனர் என்பவர் தான் ரத்தத்தில் உள்ள ஓ, ஏ, பி, ஏபி என ரத்த வகைகளை முதன் முதலில் கண்டறிந்தார். அதில் A' பிரிவு, A1', `B2' என மேலும் இரண்டு துணை வகைகளாகப் பிரிக்கப்பட்டது.
- பாசிட்டிவ் வகை உள்ளவர்களுக்கு நெகடிவ்வோ அல்லது நெகடிவ் உள்ளவர்களுக்கு பாசிட்டிவ் ரத்தமோ ஏற்றுவதால், உயிழப்புகள் அதிகளவில் ஏற்பட்டன.
- 1940ஆம் ஆண்டு`ரேசஸ்'(Rhesus)' என்ற குரங்கிலிருந்து வேறு ஒரு புதிய வகை ரத்தப் பிரிவு கண்டறியப்பட்டது. அந்தப் பிரிவுக்கு 'Rh' என்று பெயர் சூட்டப்பட்டது. `Rh'-ல் பாசிட்டிவ், நெகட்டிவ் என இரண்டு பிரிவுகள் வகைப்படுத்தப்பட்டன.
- ஒரே ரத்த வகையாக இருந்தாலும், `Rh'ம் சரியாக இருக்கிறதா, என பரிசோதிக்கப்பட்ட பிறகே பாதிக்கப்பட்டவருக்கு ரத்தம் ஏற்றப்பட்டது.
- பொதுவாக 'O' பிரிவு ரத்தத்தை யுனிவர்சல் டோனர்' என்பார்கள். ஆனால்,பாம்பே ஓ' ரத்தப் பிரிவு உள்ளவர்களுக்கு இதைக்கூட ஏற்ற முடியாது.
- 1952ஆம் ஆண்டு பம்பாயில், டாக்டர் பெண்டே என்பவர் தான் முதன் முதலில் இந்த அரிய வகை ரத்தம் பற்றி கண்டறிந்தார். இது பம்பாயில் கண்டறியப்பட்டதால் 'பாம்பே ஓ குரூப்' என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.
இந்தியாவில் எத்தனை பேர்?
- இந்தியாவில் இதுவரை 10 ஆயிரம் பேருக்கு பாம்பே ஓ பாசிட்டிவ் கண்டறியப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதில் பாம்பே ஓ பாசிட்டிவ் கொடையாளர்கள் 300 பேர்தான் தகுதியானவர்கள். அவர்களில் 180 பேர் மட்டுமே தற்போது ரத்த தானம் செய்து வருகின்றனர்.
- மேலும் நெகட்டிவ் பிரிவில் 33 பேர் குருதி கொடையாளித்து வருகின்றனர். மும்பைக்கு அடுத்து தமிழகத்தில் பாம்பே ஒ பாசிட்டிவ் ரத்த வகை இருப்பவர்கள் அதிகம். சேலத்தில் மட்டுமே 15 பேர் இருக்கின்றனர்
- 2022 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான முழக்கம் “இரத்த தானம் செய்வது ஒற்றுமையின் செயல். முயற்சியில் சேர்ந்து உயிரைக் காப்பாற்றுங்கள்”.
- உலக சுகாதார அமைப்பின் கூற்றுப்படி, உலகம் முழுவதும் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் உயிர்களைக் காப்பாற்றுவதில் தன்னார்வ இரத்த தானம் வகிக்கும் பாத்திரங்களை தீம் வெளிச்சம் போட்டுக் காட்டும்.
- World Blood Donor Day is observed annually on June 14th. The aim is to raise awareness about blood donation, to know their blood type and to donate blood to 'save lives'. When both men and women come forward to donate blood, the need for it increases. A lot of surgeries without blood have been postponed.
- In 1900, Dr. Carl Landsteiner was the first to diagnose O, A, B, and AB blood types. It is further subdivided into A 'section, A1' and `B2 '. Deaths were more likely to be due to the transfusion of the positive type into the negative or the positive type into the positive blood.
- In 1940, a new type of blood type was discovered from a monkey named Rhesus. The unit was named 'Rh'. Rh is classified into two categories, positive and negative. Although of the same blood type, the victim was transfused only after being tested for Rh.
- Commonly 'O' group blood is called 'Universal Toner'. But even those with the Bombay O 'blood type can't afford this. In 1952 in Bombay, Dr. Bende was the first to discover this rare type of blood. It is called 'Bombay O Group' as it was found in Bombay.
- Bombay O positive has been detected in 10 thousand people in India so far. Of these, only 300 Bombay O positive donors are eligible. Only 180 of them are currently donating blood.
- In addition, 33 people are donating blood in the negative category. After Mumbai, Bombay has the highest number of positive blood type in Tamil Nadu. There are only 15 in Salem
- The slogan for 2022 is “Blood donation is an act of solidarity. Join the effort and save lives ”.
- According to the World Health Organization, the theme highlights the role of voluntary blood donation in saving lives each year around the world.
