Vinesh, Sakshi Shi Kalakal - Qualify for the Commonwealth Games

• One bridge will be used as one way to go to Napier to Coimbatore and another bridge will be used as one way to go to Coimbatore to Napier. This will greatly reduce traffic congestion.
• The 20.6 km long bridge will have a total of 7 entries. That means you can connect to 7 places within the bridge from different roads. These 7 links will only be placed in key locations.
• Similarly the exit will be placed at 6 places to exit the bridge. It is said that the exit from the bridge will be set at 6 exits on the track with the double decker bridge.
• Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Maduravayal-Port Road project on the 26th.

Discovery of Bijapur Sultanate coins at Sivagangai

• The complete information about this was studied with the help of Tanjore numismatist Arumugam Sitharaman and it was possible to confirm that these were coins belonging to the period of Bijapur Sultanate.
• One of the temples is written as Raja in Devanagari script and the other script is written in Persian script. In it, the name Ali Adil Shah may be mentioned as 1558-1579, whose period is 16th century.

2,000 year old mug found at Vembakkottai

• Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has announced that new excavations will be carried out this year at 7 locations in Tamil Nadu, including Lower, Sivakalai, Mayiladuthurai, Gangaikonda Cholapuram, Virudhunagar District, Vembakkottai and Tirunelveli District, Tulukarpatti.
• Accordingly, excavation work is being carried out at Vembakkottai in Virudhunagar district. Fossils of Vembakottai have been found in the form of fine stones, Sangakkala ceramic tiles, Paleolithic cultural relics and copperplates, bracelets made of klingals and elephant tusks.

Gautam Adani buys Ambuja Cements worth Rs 81,361 crore

• Holcim, a Swiss company, holds 63.19% stake in Ambuja Cements and its subsidiary ACC. The Holcim founder said the Swiss would sell the shares and return. Accordingly, companies including Adani Group and Birla Group competed to buy the company's shares.
• Gautam Adani Group eventually acquired a stake in Ambuja Cements and ACC for $ 1,050 crore (Rs 81,361 crore). Holcim AG holds 63.19 per cent stake in Ambuja Cement and 4.48 per cent stake in ACC Limited.
• This makes Adani Group the 2nd largest manufacturer of cement in India. In the first place is the Ultratech Cement Company of the Birla Group. Ambuja shares rose 2.9 percent and ACC shares rose 6.4 percent after the acquisition announcement. Similarly, Adani Enterprises shares rose 2.75%.
