• தேசிய குடும்பநலத் துறை (NFHS) மேற்கொண்ட ஆய்வில் இந்த விவரம் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• கடந்த 2015-2016இல் மலம் கழிப்பதற்கு திறந்தவெளியைப் பயன்படுத்துபவர்களின் விகிதம் 39 சதவீதமாக பதிவானது. இந்நிலையில், 2019-2021இல் 19.4 சதவீதமாக குறைந்திருப்பது தெரியவந்துள்ளது.
• கழிவறை பயன்பாட்டில் பிகார் 61.2 சதவீதமும், ஜார்க்கண்ட் 69.6 சதவீதமும், ஒடிஸா 71.3 சதவீதமும் பின்தங்கியுள்ளன. லட்சத்தீவில் மட்டுமே 100 சதவீத மக்களும் கழிவறை வசதியைப் பயன்படுத்துகின்றனர் என்பது ஆய்வில் தெரியவந்துள்ளது. 
• மேலும், மிசோரத்தில் 99.9 சதவீதம் பேரும், கேரளத்தில் 99.8 சதவீதத்தினரும் கழிவறையைப் பயன்படுத்துகின்றனர்.
• நாட்டில் 69.3 சதவீதம் குடும்பத்தினர் மற்றவர்களுடன் பகிர்ந்துகொள்ளாத மேம்படுத்தப்பட்ட கழிவறைகளைப் பயன்படுத்துகின்றனர். 8.4 சதவீத குடும்பத்தினர் கழிவறையை மற்றவர்களுடன் பகிர்ந்து கொள்கின்றனர். 
• 2.9 சதவீதம் பேர் வசதிகளற்ற கழிவறையைப் பயன்படுத்துகின்றனர். மேலும், நாட்டில் 19.4 சதவீதமே பேருக்கு கழிவறை வசதியே இல்லை. 
• இவர்கள் திறந்தவெளியையே மலம் கழிப்பதற்குப் பயன்படுத்துகின்றனர். நகர்ப்புறங்களில் 6.1 சதவீத வீடுகளில் திறந்தவெளி மலம் கழிக்கும் பழக்கம் உள்ளது. கிராமப்புறங்களில் அந்த எண்ணிக்கை 25.9 சதவீதமாக உள்ளது எனத் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• மேலும், நகர்ப்புறங்களில் உள்ள குடும்பங்களில் 80.7 சதவீதத்தினருக்கு மேம்படுத்தப்பட்ட கழிவறை வசதிகள் உள்ளன. 
• கிராமப்புறங்களில் 63.6 சதவீதம் உள்ளது. நகர்ப்புறங்களில் 10.5 சதவீத குடும்பத்தினர் மற்றவர்களுடன் கழிவறையைப் பயன்படுத்துகின்றனர். இது கிராமப்புறங்களில் 7.4 சதவீதமாக உள்ளது.

• This is revealed in a study conducted by the National Family Welfare Department (NFHS). In 2015-2016, the rate of open air for feces was recorded at 39 percent. In this case, it was reported to be 19.4 per cent in 2019-2021.
• Bihar 61.2 per cent of the toilet use, Jharkhand 69.6 per cent and Odisha 71.3 per cent. The study found that 100 percent of the people use toilet facilities in Lakshadweep alone. In addition, 99.9 per cent of the Mizoram and 99.8 per cent in Kerala use the toilet.
• 69.3 percent of family in the country use updated restrooms that do not share with others. 8.4 percent of the family shares the toilet with others. 2.9 percent useless toilet. Moreover, only 19.4 percent of the country has no toilet facilities.
• They use open space for feces. 6.1 percent of homes in urban areas have an open feces. The number is 25.9 per cent in rural areas. In addition, 80.7 percent of families in urban areas have upgraded toilet facilities.
• The rural areas are 63.6 percent. In urban areas, 10.5 percent of families use the toilet with others. It is 7.4 percent in rural areas.
