- நாம் உணவு, மருத்துவம் உள்ளிட்ட தேவைக்கு பல்லுயிர்களை சார்ந்து இருக்கிறோம்.
- பன்னாட்டு பல்லுயிர் பெருக்க நாள் (International Day for Biological Diversity) அல்லது உலக பல்லுயிர் பெருக்க நாள் (World Biodiversity Day) தற்போது ஒவ்வோர் ஆண்டும், மே 22 ஆம் நாள் ஐக்கிய நாடுகளின் ஆதரவுடன் உயிரியற் பல்வகைமையை பரப்பும் நோக்கோடு கடைபிடிக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது.
- ஐநா பொதுச் சபையின் இரண்டாவது குழுவினால் 1993 ஆம் ஆண்டில் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்ட ஆண்டில் இருந்து 2000 ஆம் ஆண்டு வரை இந்நாள் திசம்பர் 29 ஆம் ஆள் கடைப்பிடிக்கப்பட்டு வந்தது.
- இந்நாளிலேயே பல்லுயிர் பெருக்கத்திற்கான மரபுநெறி உருவாக்கப்பட்டது.
- 2000 திசம்பர் 20 இல் 1992 மே 22 ரியோ பூமி உச்சி மாநாட்டை நினைவுகூரும் முகமாகவும், திசம்பர் இறுதியில் வரும் பல விடுமுறை நாட்களைத் தவிர்க்கும் பொருட்டும் இந்நாள் மே 22 ஆம் நாளுக்கு மாற்றப்பட்டது.

- நீர், நிலத்தில் வாழும் உயிரின வகைகளின் தொகுப்பு பல்லுயிர் பரவல் எனப்படுகிறது. 'அனைத்து உயிர்களுக்கும் பகிரப்பட்ட எதிர்காலத்தை உருவாக்குதல்' என்பது இந்தாண்டு மையக்கருத்து.
- We depend on biodiversity for our needs, including food and medicine. International Day for Biological Diversity or World Biodiversity Day is currently observed every year on May 22 with the support of the United Nations to promote biodiversity.
- This year, December 29, was observed by the Second Committee of the UN General Assembly from its inception in 1993 to 2000. It was on this day that the genealogy for biodiversity was developed.
- Today's May 22, 1992 was changed to commemorate the Rio Earth Summit on December 20, 2000, and to avoid the many holidays that come at the end of December.
