Ukraine affair - US embargo Economic Lockdown on Russia
- When the Soviet Union disintegrated in 1991, its member state Ukraine declared itself a separate state. That country is Russia's neighbor. Russia has said it opposes Ukraine's involvement in a 30 - nation NATO military alliance.
- Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Monday that he would recognize the Donetsk and Luhansk regions in Ukraine as "independent". He also ordered the deployment of Russian troops to carry out peacekeeping operations in the two regions.
- Russia, the United States, Britain, Australia, Japan and Canada have all imposed sanctions on Russia.
- The grand 'Future Museum' has opened in Dubai. The Burj Khalifa, the tallest commercial building in the world, is located in Dubai, a western country in the United Arab Emirates. The future museum has the distinction of being one of the most beautiful buildings in the world.
- Fun and musical performances were held during the opening ceremony. Laser footage captivated the audience. It took nine years to complete the 3.23 lakh sq ft, 252 ft high spherical museum.
- The building is made up of 1,024 art forms made of steel, through 'robots'. Numerous innovative products are placed here with new ideas about future life in various fields.
- Annually, the museum operates on 4,000 MW of solar power. The two sites here are dedicated to hosting seminar events. The most beautiful building is going to be another diamond in the crown of Dubai.
- A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on 21 February 2022 between the National Institute for Tribal Research in New Delhi and the Bharatiya Adi Tribal Seva Organization, PAJSS, in the presence of the Union Minister for Tribal Welfare, Mr. Arjun Munda, to make the PAJSS an NDRI resource center.
- The Indian Navy's Milan-2022 joint exercise begins on February 25 in Visakhapatnam. It is attended by warships and teams of officers from 40 countries.
- The training is conducted in 2 phases over 9 days. The first phase of training will take place at the Visakhapatnam port from February 25 to 28. The second phase of training at sea will take place from March 1 to 4.
- Celebrating its 75th Independence Year, India has the opportunity to share its achievement with allies through the Milan 2022 training. The theme of this year's Milan Joint Exercise is Community, Solidarity and Cooperation.
- The purpose of this exercise is to visualize India as a responsible maritime nation to the world. This exercise will enhance the naval capabilities of the Allies. The biennial Milan Joint Exercise was first established in 1995 by the Andaman and Nicobar Naval Control Center.
- The Milan joint exercise, scheduled for 2020, has been postponed to this year due to a corona infection. Initially only Indonesia, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Thailand participated in the exercise. This training is currently being expanded through the Eastern Policy, Sagar Project.
- The exercise, conducted in 2014, was attended by 14 countries located in the Indian Ocean region. Currently the Milan Joint Exercise is being expanded and currently a team of warships and naval officers from 40 countries are participating in this year's Milan Joint Exercise.
- Naval officials and experts from many countries are also addressing the seminar on maritime security.
