Successfully launched PSLV C52 rocket
- Indian space agency ISRO has successfully launched the PSLV C52 rocket with 3 satellites. The PSLV C52 rocket launches the EOS-04 satellite, Inspire SAT-1 and i. N. Two small satellites, the S-2DT, were also launched. The satellites launched into space were successfully placed in Earth orbit.
- These satellites have a sophisticated camera that can accurately capture agriculture, forest, floods, etc. on Earth. The total number of satellites to monitor the Earth is 1,170 kg.
- The total lifespan of this satellite is 10 years. It is the first satellite to be launched under the new Somnath leadership as the head of ISRO. Similarly, this is the first satellite launched by ISRO this year (2022).
- In the next five years, by 2025-26, the central government will spend Rs 26,275 crore to modernize the police force across the country. Permission has been granted by the Union Home Ministry.
- The money will be spent on Jammu and Kashmir, the north-eastern states, the Maoist-affected states, the creation of new battalions, the creation of sophisticated forensic laboratories and the development of other police equipment.
- Prime Minister Modi has directed that this amount be allocated under the Police Modernization (MPF) scheme. Rs 18,839 crore will be spent on upgrading the police force in Jammu and Kashmir, the militant-hit northeastern states and areas most affected by the Maoists.
- A further Rs 4,846 crore will be spent on upgrading the state police force. Rs 2,080.50 crore will be spent on upgrading forensic laboratories and upgrading the police force in the Union Territories.
