Modi releases PM's agricultural subsidy scheme - Rs 20,900 crore
- 10.09 crore farmers across the country are provided Rs. 6,000 per annum under the Prime Minister's Agricultural Subsidy Scheme. The funds are 'deposited' directly into the bank accounts of the farmers in three installments of Rs. 2,000 each.
- 10th installment The ninth tranche of funds under this scheme was released in August last year. In this context, Prime Minister Modi released Rs. 20,900 crore as the 10th installment.
1.29 lakh crore GST collection in December 2021
- GST collection in December 2021 was Rs 1,29,780 crore. This includes CGST of Rs 22,578 crore, SGST of Rs 28,658 crore, IGST of Rs 69,155 crore (including goods tax of Rs 37,527 crore) and Cess of Rs 9,389 crore (including goods tax of Rs 614 crore).
- At the same time, it was 13 per cent higher than the Rs 1.15 lakh crore collected in the month of December last year (2020). For the sixth consecutive month, GST collection has crossed Rs 1 lakh crore.
