- ஜெர்மனியின் பெர்லினை தலைமையிடமாக கொண்டு இயங்கி வரும் Transparency International நிறுவனம் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் உலகளாவிய ஊழல் குறியீடு பட்டியலை வெளியிட்டு வருகிறது.
- அதன்படி, 2021ம் ஆண்டுக்கான பட்டியல் வெளியிடப்பட்டது. லஞ்சம், பொது நிதியை திசை திருப்புதல், விளைவுகளைச் சந்திக்காமல் அதிகாரிகள் தங்கள் அரசு அலுவலகத்தை தனிப்பட்ட லாபத்திற்காகப் பயன்படுத்துவது, நிர்வாகத்தில் வாரிசுகளை நியமிப்பது, லஞ்சம் மற்றும் ஊழல் வழக்குகளைப் புகாரளிக்கும் நபர்களுக்கு சட்டப் பாதுகாப்பு உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு காரணிகளை மையமாக கொண்டு 0 முதல் 100 வரையிலான மதிப்பெண்கள் அடிப்படையில் இந்த பட்டியல் தயார் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
- 0 மதிப்பெண்கள் என்பது அதிக ஊழல்மிக்கது எனவும் 100 மதிப்பெண்கள் என்பது ஊழலற்ற நிலையை எடுத்துரைப்பதாகவும் இருக்கிறது.
- 180 நாடுகளை உள்ளடக்கிய 2021ம் ஆண்டுக்கான உலகளாவிய ஊழல் குறியீடு பட்டியலில், 40 மதிப்பெண்ணுடன் இந்தியா 85வது இடத்தை பிடித்துள்ளது. கடந்த 2020ம் ஆண்டில் 86வது இடத்தில் இருந்த இந்தியா ஒரு இடம் முன்னேறியிருப்பது கவனிக்கத்தக்கது.
- இந்தியாவின் அண்டை நாடான பாகிஸ்தான், ஊழல் குறியீட்டில் மோசமான சரிவை சந்தித்திருக்கிறது. 28/100 மதிப்பெண்ணுடன் பாகிஸ்தான் 140வது இடத்துக்கு தள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளது.
- 2010ம் ஆண்டுக்கு பிறகு இது பாகிஸ்தானுக்கு மோசமான சரிவாக சொல்லப்படுகிறது. கடந்த 2020ம் ஆண்டுக்கான பட்டியலில் பாகிஸ்தான் 124வது இடத்தில் இருந்தது.
- பாகிஸ்தானின் இந்த சரிவு இம்ரான் கானுக்கு பெரும் கவலையை ஏற்படுத்தியிருக்கிறது. ஆட்சிக்கு வரும் முன்னதாக அவர் ஊழல் குறியீட்டை சுட்டிக்காட்டி முந்தைய அரசை விமர்சித்து வந்தது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
- ஸ்விட்சர்லாந்து, நெதர்லாந்து, லக்சம்பர்க், ஜெர்மனி போன்ற நாடுகள் முதல் 10 இடங்களுக்குள் வந்துள்ளன. இங்கிலாந்து 11வது இடத்தை பிடித்திருக்கிறது. ஹாங்காங் 76 மதிப்பெண்ணுடன் 12வது இடத்தை பிடித்துள்ளது. அமெரிக்கா 27வது இடத்தை பிடித்துள்ளது.
- வங்கதேசம் 147வது (26) இடத்தையும், இலங்கை 102வது (37) இடத்தையும், சீனா 45 மதிப்பெண்களும் பெற்றுள்ளன. ஆப்கானிஸ்தான், வட கொரியா, சிரியா, ஏமன், சோமாலியா போன்ற நாடுகள் கடைசி இடங்களை பிடித்திருக்கின்றன.
- Transparency International, headquartered in Berlin, Germany, publishes a list of global corruption codes each year. Accordingly, the list for 2021 has been released.
- The list is based on scores ranging from 0 to 100, focusing on a variety of factors, including bribery, diversion of public funds, officials' use of their government office for personal gain, and the appointment of heirs to the administration, as well as legal protection for those who report bribery and corruption cases.
- A score of 0 is highly corrupt and a score of 100 indicates a non-corrupt status. India ranks 85th out of 40 countries in the 2021 Global Corruption Perceptions Index with 40 points. It is noteworthy that India has moved up one place from 86th in 2020.
- Pakistan, India's neighbor, has seen a sharp decline in its corruption index. Pakistan has been pushed to 140th position with a score of 28/100. This is said to be the worst decline for Pakistan since 2010. Pakistan was ranked 124th in the list for 2020.
- This decline of Pakistan has caused great concern to Imran Khan. It is noteworthy that before coming to power he had been criticizing the previous government by pointing out the corruption code.
- Countries like Switzerland, Netherlands, Luxembourg and Germany are in the top 10. The UK is ranked 11th. Hong Kong is ranked 12th with a score of 76. The United States is ranked 27th.
- Bangladesh is ranked 147th (26th), Sri Lanka 102nd (37th) and China 45. Countries like Afghanistan, North Korea, Syria, Yemen and Somalia are in last place.
