சர்வதேச மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகள் தினம் / INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

• உலக மக்கள் அனைவரும் மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளின் பிரச்னைகளைப் புரிந்து கொள்வதுடன் அவர்களுக்கு மேன்மையும், உரிமைகளும் வழங்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்ற நோக்கத்தால் ஐ.நா., சபை அறிவுரைப்படி உலகம் முழுவதும் டிச.3 சர்வதேச மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகள் தினமாக (பன்னாட்டு ஊனமுற்றோர் நாள்) கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது.
• மாற்றுத்திறனாளி மற்றும் அவருடன் செல்லும் ஒரு உதவியாளர் தமிழ்நாடு அரசின் போக்குவரத்து கழகங்களால் இயக்கப்படும் சாதாரண பேருந்துகளில் கட்டணமில்லா பயணம் மேற்கொள்ள அரசாணை வெளியிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• மேலும், மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளின் நலனுக்கென நமது நாட்டில் மட்டுமின்றி, உலகிலேயே முன்மாதிரி திட்டமாக "RIGHTS" என்ற திட்டத்தை ரூ. 1,709 கோடி செலவில் திட்டமிடப்பட்டு செயல்படுத்தப்பட்டு வருகிறது.
• இந்தியாவில் மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கு சிறப்பான சேவை வழங்கியமைக்காக தமிழ்நாடு முதல் மாநிலமாக தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டு குடியரசுத் தலைவரால் சர்வதேச மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகள் தினமான 3.12.2021 அன்று தமிழ்நாடு அரசுக்கு விருது வழங்கப்படவுள்ளது. 
• மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கு மறுவாழ்வு வழங்கிய வகையில் இந்தியாவிலேயே சேலம் மாவட்டம் சிறந்த மாவட்டமாக தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டு குடியரசுத் தலைவரால் விருது வழங்கப்படவுள்ளது.
• இந்திய அளவில் மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கு வழங்கப்படுகின்ற விருதுகளில் தமிழ்நாட்டைச் சேர்ந்த 6 மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகள் சிறப்பாக செயல்புரிந்தமைக்காக குடியரசு தலைவரிடமிருந்து விருது பெறுகின்றனர்.

• Dec 3 International Day of Persons with Disabilities (International Day of Persons with Disabilities) is observed around the world on the advice of the United Nations, with the aim of understanding the problems of people around the world and giving them superiority and rights.
• The Government has issued a directive to provide free travel on ordinary buses operated by the Transport Corporations of the State of Tamil Nadu with a disabled person and an assistant accompanying him.
• In addition, "RIGHTS" is a pilot project not only in our country but also in the world for the benefit of the disabled at a cost of Rs. It is being planned and implemented at a cost of Rs 1,709 crore.
• Tamil Nadu has been selected as the first state in India to provide outstanding service to the disabled in India and the award will be presented by the President to the Government of Tamil Nadu on 3.12.2021, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
• Salem district has been selected as the best district in India for the rehabilitation of the disabled and will be presented with an award by the President. Among the awards given to persons with disabilities in India, 6 persons with disabilities from Tamil Nadu receive the President's Award for Outstanding Performance.
