- ஒவ்வோர் ஆண்டும் உலகம் முழுவதும் உள்ள பத்து நபர்களுக்கு இப்பரிசு வழங்கப்படும். மக்களைச் சிரிக்க வைப்பதோடு சிந்திக்க வைக்கும் நபர்களை தேர்வு செய்து இந்த பரிசளிக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது.
- ஹாவார்டு பலைலை கழகத்தில் நடைபெறும் இந்நிகழ்வு, கடந்த 1991ம் ஆண்டு முதல் நடைபெற்று வருகிறது. இயற்பியல், பொருளியல் என பல்வேறு சூழலியல் என பல்வேறு துறைகளின் கீழ் பரிசுகள் வழங்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. இந்நிலையில், இந்தாண்டுக்கான இக்நோபல் பரிசுகள் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
- இதில் குறிப்பாக போக்குவரத்து இடமாற்றம் தொடர்பான ஆய்வில் வித்தியாசமாக 12 காண்டா மிருகங்களை தலைகீழாக பத்து நிமிடங்களுக்கு தொங்கவிட்டு ஆராய்ச்சி மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டது. இதனை கார்னல் பல்கலைக் சேர்ந்த விலங்கியல் ஆராய்ச்சியாளர் ராபின் ரெட் கிளிப் இந்த ஆராய்ச்சியை மேற்கொண்டார்.
- ஆப்பிரிக்கக் காடுகளில் இருந்து காண்டா மிருகங்களை பாதுகாக்க அவற்றை ஓரிடத்தில் இருந்து மற்றொரு இடத்திற்கு எடுத்து செல்லும் வகையில் ஹெலிகாப்டரில் தலைகீழாக கட்டி எடுத்துச் செல்வார்கள் இதனால் விலங்குகள் உடல்நிலை பாதிக்கப்படுகிறதா என கண்டறியும் வகையில் இந்த ஆய்வு நடத்தப்பட்டது.
- 12 காண்டா மிருகங்களை தலைகீழாக கட்டி தொங்கவிட்டு உடல்நிலையை பதிவு செய்தபோது ஆய்வின் முடிவில் அவை நல்ல உடல்நலத்துடன் இருந்தது.
- அதே நேரத்தில் ஒரு பக்கமாக சாய்த்த நிலையில் எடுத்துச் செல்லும்போது மூச்சு விட சிரமப்பட்டது எனவே, தலைகீழாக தொங்க விட்டு எடுத்து செல்லும் போது அதன உடல் நிலை சீராக உள்ளது என்பதை கிளிப் மருத்துவரீதியாக விளக்கினார். இது வித்தியாசமான மிகவும் சிந்தனைக்குறிய ஆய்வாக கருதப்பட்டு இக்நோபல் பரிசுக்கு தேர்வானார்.

- Each year, the prize is awarded to ten people from around the world. This gift is given by choosing people who make people laugh and think.
- The event has been held at the Howard University since 1991. Prizes are awarded under various disciplines such as physics, economics and ecology. In this regard, the Ignoble Prizes for this year have been announced.
- In particular, in the study of transport displacement, 12 rhinos were hung upside down for ten minutes. The study was conducted by Robin Red Clip, a zoologist at Cornell University.
- The study was conducted to find out if the rhinos are being tied upside down in a helicopter to protect them from the African jungle and to transport them from one place to another.
- At the end of the study 12 rhinos were found to be in good health when their health was recorded by hanging them upside down.
- At the same time it was more difficult to breathe when carried in a tilted position to one side, so the clip clinically explained that its physical position is stable when left hanging upside down. It was considered the strangest and most thought-provoking study and was nominated for the Ignobel Prize.
- As well as the Ecological Prize for identifying the various bacteria that are spread by chewing gum thrown on the sidewalks, the Economic Prize for research on the obesity of politicians and the Entomological Prize for the study of cockroaches were selected by various individuals for the Ignobel Prize.
