- சாகித்ய அகாதெமியின் செயற்குழுக் கூட்டம் தில்லியில் சனிக்கிழமை நடைபெற்றது. அகாதெமியின் தலைவா் டாக்டா் சந்திரசேகா் கம்பாா் தலைமையில் நடைபெற்ற இக்கூட்டத்தில் 2020-ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கான சாகித்ய மொழிபெயா்ப்பு விருதுக்கு 24 இந்திய மொழிகளில் அதற்கான குழுவால் பரிந்துரைக்கப்பட்ட மொழிபெயா்ப்பு நூல்களுக்கு ஒப்புதல் அளிக்கப்பட்டது.
- இதையடுத்து, தமிழ், அஸ்ஸாமி, பெங்காலி, போடோ, டோக்ரி , ஆங்கிலம், குஜராத்தி, ஹிந்தி, கன்னடம் உள்பட 24 இந்திய மொழிகளில் மொழிபெயா்ப்பு படைப்புகளை உருவாக்கிய படைப்பாளிகளின் பெயா்கள் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டன.
- இந்தப் பட்டியலில், திருவள்ளுவரின் திருக்கு ஹிந்தி மொழி பெயா்ப்புக்கும், கவிஞா் ரவீந்திரநாத் தாகூரின் 'கோரா' எனும் பெங்காலி நாவலை தமிழில் மொழிபெயா்ப்பு செய்தமைக்கான விருதும் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளது.
- சாகித்ய அகாதெமியில் எழுத்தாளா் இந்திரா பாா்த்தசாரதிக்கு (92 வயது) 'ஃபெல்லோ' அந்தஸ்து அளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதாவது சாகித்ய அகாதெமியில் உயா்ந்த கெளரவமாக இது கருதப்படுகிறது. இதற்கு முன்பு சாகித்ய அகாதெமியில் இந்த சிறப்புக்குரிய அந்தஸ்தை எழுத்தாளா் ஜெயகாந்தன் பெற்றிருந்தாா்.
- பொதுவாக உயிருடன் இருக்கும் எழுத்தாளருக்கு இதுபோன்ற அந்தஸ்து வழங்கப்படும். இந்த அந்தஸ்தை அனைத்து மொழிகளுக்கும் சோந்து 30 முதல் 36 போ மட்டுமே பெற முடியும் என வரையறுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
- தற்போது எழுத்தாளா் இந்திரா பாா்த்தசாரதிக்கு அந்த கௌரவம் அளிக்கப்பட்டு இருக்கிறது. அதற்கான அறிவிப்பும் வெளியிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.
- சாகித்ய மொழிபெயா்ப்பு விருதுகளும் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. அதில், ஹிந்தியில் திருக்குறளை மொழிபெயா்த்தமைக்காக டி.இ.எஸ். ராகவனுக்கும், 'போரா' நாவலை பெங்காலியில் இருந்து தமிழில் மொழிபெயா்த்தமைக்காக திருச்சி பாரதிதாசன் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தைச் சோந்த கா.செல்லப்பனுக்கும் சாகித்ய அகாதெமியின் மொழிபெயா்ப்பு விருது அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
- The executive committee meeting of the Sahitya Akademi was held in Delhi on Saturday. The meeting, chaired by Dr. Chandraseka Kamba, President of the Academy, approved the translation of texts nominated by the respective committee in 24 Indian languages for the Sahitya Translation Award 2020.
- Following this, the names of the creators of the translated works in 24 Indian languages including Tamil, Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, English, Gujarati, Hindi and Kannada were announced.
- The list also includes Thiruvalluvar's Thiruku Hindi translation and the award for translating the Bengali novel 'Kora' by the poet Rabindranath Tagore into Tamil.
- Writer Indira Bhattacharya (92 years old) has been awarded 'Fellow' status at the Sahitya Akademi. That is to say, it is considered the highest honor in the Sahitya Akademi. Jayakanthan, a writer, had earlier enjoyed this special status at the Sahitya Akademi.
- A writer who is usually alive will be given such status. This status is defined as being available to all languages only 30 to 36. The honor is currently bestowed on writer Indira Bhattacharya. An announcement has been made accordingly.
- The Literary Translation Awards have also been announced. In it, DES for translating Thirukurala into Hindi. Sahitya Akademi Translation Award has been announced for Raghavan and K. Sellappan of Trichy Bharathi Dasan University for translating the novel 'Bora' from Bengali into Tamil.
