Large-scale funding for poor, simple people in the last century
- The day before yesterday, a Chinese research firm, Huron, released a list of those who had provided the most financial assistance to the poor and needy over the past century.
- Jamshedji Tata, the late entrepreneur and founder of Tata Estate, topped the list with a total of 50 people.
- During his lifetime he has given $ 102 billion (Rs. 7 lakh crore) to the poor and needy. This amount is higher than the GDP (GDP ratio) of Sri Lanka, Kenya and Ethiopia.
