• பாதுகாப்புப் பொருட்கள் கிடங்குகள் மேம்பாட்டு ஆய்வகம் (இந்தியா) / DEFENCE MATERIALS AND STORES RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ESTABLISHMENT: பாதுகாப்புப் பொருட்கள் கிடங்குகள் மேம்பாட்டு ஆய்வகம் (Defence Materials and Stores Research and Development Establishment) என்பது இந்தியா நடுவண் அரசின் பாதுகாப்பு அமைச்சகத்தின் மேற்பார்வையில் செயல்படும் பாதுகாப்பு ஆராய்ச்சி மற்றும் வளர்ச்சி அமைப்பின் (டி. ஆர். டீ. ஓ) கீழ் செயல்படும் ஒரு ஆராய்ச்சி மையமாகும். 
• இவ்வாய்வகம் உத்தரப்பிரதேச மாநிலத்தில் கான்பூரில் தபால் நிலையத்தின் அருகாமையில் கிராண்ட் ட்ரன்க் சாலையில் அமைந்துள்ளது.
• இந்திய இராணுவத்திற்குத் தேவைப்படும் பொருட்களை ஆராய்ச்சிகள் மூலம் மேம்படுத்தி வழங்குவதற்காக இந்த ஆய்வகம் செயல்படுகிறது. அவற்றில் இராணுவத்தினருக்குத் தேவையான பாதுகாப்பு ஆடைகள், பாதுகாப்பு அணிகலன்கள், பாதுகாப்புக் கருவிகள் ஆகியவையும் அடங்கும்.
• 1929 ஆம் ஆண்டில் சேணமும் மிதியும் (Harness & Saddlery) ஆகிய காரணிகளுக்காக இங்கு செயல்பட்டு வந்த பல்பொருள் அங்காடியே நாளடைவில் பெயர் மாற்றம் அடைந்து "பாதுகாப்புப் பொருட்கள் கிடங்குகள் மேம்பாட்டு ஆய்வகம்" என்ற வகையில் உருமாறி செயல்படத் துவங்கியது.

• DEFENCE MATERIALS AND STORES RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ESTABLISHMENT: The Defense Materials and Stores Research and Development Establishment is a research center under the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) under the supervision of the Ministry of Defence, Government of India.
• The Institute is located on the Grand Trunk Road near the Post Office at Kanpur in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The laboratory works to develop and supply the Indian Army through research and development. 
• They include protective clothing, protective accessories and protective equipment for the military.
• In 1929, the department store that was operating here for Harness & Saddlery later changed its name and started functioning as "Safety Goods Warehouse Development Laboratory".
