• இந்திய விண்வெளி தொழில்நுட்ப கழகம் / INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SPACE SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY: இந்திய விண்வெளித் தொழில்நுட்ப கல்லூரி (Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology) இந்திய விண்வெளித் துறையின் கட்டுப்பாட்டில் இயங்கும் நிகர்நிலைப் பல்கலைக்கழகமாகும். இது உலகில் முதன்முறையாக விண்வெளித்துறை சார்ந்த கல்விக்கென்று உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ள கல்லூரியாகும். 
• இந்த கல்லூரி தொடங்க 26 ஏப்ரல், 2007 ம் ஆண்டு மத்திய அமைச்சரவை ஒப்புதல் அளித்தது. முன்னாள் விண்வெளித் துறை தலைவர் மாதவன் நாயர்இதனை 14 செப்டம்பர், 2007 அன்று தொடங்கி வைத்தார். 
• தொடங்கி ஓராண்டுக்குள் இது நிகர் நிலைக்கல்லூரியாக தரம் உயர்த்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. இக்கல்லூரியில் பயிலும் மாணவர்களுக்கு இந்திய விண்வெளித்துறையில் பணிபுரிய வாய்ப்பு வழங்கப்படும்.

• INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SPACE SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY: Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology is a virtual university under the control of the Indian Space Department. It is the first college in the world to be developed for aerospace education. 
• The Union Cabinet approved the establishment of this college on 26th April, 2007. It was inaugurated on 14 September 2007 by former space chief Madhavan Nair. 
• Within a year of its inception, it has been upgraded to a net status college. Students studying in this college will be given an opportunity to work in the Indian Space Department.
