• இந்தியாவின் புகழ்பெற்ற 10 வரலாற்று நினைவுச் சின்னங்கள் / 10 FAMOUS HISTORICAL MONUMENTS OF INDIA: ஆங்கிலேயர் ஆட்சிக்காலத்தை நினைவுபடுத்தும் வகையில் தாஜ் மஹாலை போன்றதொரு தோற்றத்துடன் விக்டோரியா மெமோரியல் அமைந்துள்ளது. 
• 1921-ஆம் ஆண்டு பொது மக்களுக்கு திறந்துவிடப்பட்ட இந்த மாளிகையில் பிரிட்டிஷ் ராஜ குடும்பத்தினரின் சில அரிய புகைப்படங்கள் காணப்படுகின்றன. 
• ராணி விக்டோரியாவின் நினைவாக கட்டப்பட்ட இந்த மாளிகை தற்போது அருங்காட்சியகமாகவும், புகழ்பெற்ற சுற்றுலாத் தலமாகவும் திகழ்ந்து வருகிறது.

பஹாய் வழிபாட்டுத்தலம், டெல்லி

• இந்தியாவின் புகழ்பெற்ற 10 வரலாற்று நினைவுச் சின்னங்கள் / 10 FAMOUS HISTORICAL MONUMENTS OF INDIA: 2001-ஆம் ஆண்டில் கின்னஸ் புக் ஆஃப் ரெகார்ட்ஸ் பட்டியலில் அதிக எண்ணிக்கையில் பார்வையாளர்கள் விஜயம் செய்யும் ஆன்மீக ஸ்தலங்களில் ஒன்றாக பஹாய் வழிபாட்டுத்தலம் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளது. 
• பஹாய் கோயில் அல்லது தாமரைக்கோயில் என்றழைக்கப்படும் இந்த அற்புதமான வழிபாட்டுத்தலம் 1986-ஆம் ஆண்டு புது டெல்லியில் திறக்கப்பட்டதிலிருந்தே பயணிகள் கூட்டம் கூடமாக வந்து செல்கின்றனர். 
• ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் 40 லட்சம் பார்வையாளர்கள் இந்த கோயிலுக்கு விஜயம் செய்வதாக கணக்கிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

ஹவா மஹால், ஜெய்ப்பூர்

• லால் சந்த் உஸ்தா என்ற பிரபல கட்டிடக்கலை நிபுணரால் வடிவமைக்கப்பட்ட இந்த மாளிகை 950 ஜன்னல்களைக் கொண்டுள்ளது. 
• இதிலுள்ள சல்லடைத் துவார ஜன்னல்கள் வழியாக வீதிகளில் நடைபெறும் ஊர்வலங்கள் மற்றும் கலை நிகழ்ச்சிகளை அரண்மனைப் பெண்கள் பாதுகாப்பாக பார்த்து ரசிப்பதற்காகவே இந்த மாளிகை கட்டப்பட்டுள்ளது.

சத்ரபதி சிவாஜி டெர்மினஸ், மும்பை

• அண்மையில் சத்ரபதி சிவாஜி டெர்மினஸ் என்று பெயர் மாற்றம் செய்யப்பட்ட மும்பையின் மத்திய ரயில் நிலையம், முன்னர் விக்டோரியா டெர்மினஸ் (வி.டி ரயில் நிலையம்) என்ற பெயரில்தான் அழைக்கப்பட்டு வந்தது. இதற்கு அருகிலேயே பிரபலமான தாஜ் ஹோட்டல் அமைந்திருகிறது.

மஹாபோதி கோயில், போத்கயா

• இந்தியாவின் புகழ்பெற்ற 10 வரலாற்று நினைவுச் சின்னங்கள் / 10 FAMOUS HISTORICAL MONUMENTS OF INDIA: புத்தர் ஞானம் பெற்றதாக கருதப்படும் இடத்தில் இந்த மஹோபோதி கோயில் அமைந்துள்ளது. கோயிலுக்கு மேற்கே புகழ்பெற்ற போதி மரம் வீற்றிருக்கிறது. 
• திராவிட கோயிற்கலை மரபுப்படி அமைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும் இக்கோயில் அசோகச்சக்கரவர்த்தியால் கட்டப்பட்டதாக கூறப்படுகிறது.

ஸ்ரீ ஹர்மந்திர் சாஹிப், அம்ரித்ஸர்

• ஸ்ரீ ஹர்மந்திர் சாஹிப் என்று அழைக்கப்படும் இந்த தங்கக்கோயில் நாட்டிலுள்ள முக்கியமான ஆன்மீக வழிபாட்டுத்தலங்களில் ஒன்றாகவும் சீக்கிய மதப்பிரிவின் அடையாளச்சின்னமாகவும் புகழுடன் அறியப்படுகிறது. 
• 19-ஆம் நூற்றாண்டின் துவக்கத்தில் மஹாராஜா ரஞ்சித் சிங் இந்தக் கோயிலின் மேல்தளப்பகுதியை 400 கிலோ எடையுள்ள தங்கத்தகடுகளால் போர்த்தினார். அதற்குபிறகு இது தங்கக்கோயில் என்றழைக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது.

பிரகதீஸ்வரர் கோயில், தஞ்சாவூர்

• இந்தியாவின் புகழ்பெற்ற 10 வரலாற்று நினைவுச் சின்னங்கள் / 10 FAMOUS HISTORICAL MONUMENTS OF INDIA: தமிழ்நாட்டில் ஆயிரம் ஆண்டுகளுக்கு கட்டப்பட்ட கோயில்கள் எத்தனை இருந்தாலும் தஞ்சை பெரிய கோயிலுக்கு ஈடு இணை ஏதுமில்லை. 
• வட நாடெங்கும் பயணித்து பல வெற்றிகளை சுமந்து வந்த ராஜராஜ சோழன் தான் வழியில் கண்ட பல்வேறு சிற்பக்கலை மரபுகளைச் சேர்ந்த கோயில்களின் தோற்றத்தில் கவரப்பட்டு அவற்றினும் சிறந்த ஒரு உன்னத கலைப்படைப்பை தனது ராஜ்ஜியத்தில் நிர்மாணிக்க விரும்பி மிகுந்த முனைப்புடன் இந்தக் கோயிலை உருவாக்கியிருக்க வேண்டும் என்பது சில வரலாற்று ஆசிரியர்களின் கருத்து. வார்த்தைகளில் விவரிக்க முடியாத நுண்ணிய வடிவமைப்பு, கற்பனா சக்தி, மேலாண்மை துல்லியம், பொறியியல் நுணுக்கங்கள், அப்பழுக்கற்ற ஒழுங்கு, துளியும் பிசகாத கணக்கீடுகள் போன்ற அறிவியல் பூர்வமான நுட்பங்கள் இந்த ஒட்டுமொத்த கோயிலின் உருவாக்கத்தில் நிரம்பியுள்ளன என்றால் அது மிகையில்லை.

தாஜ் மஹால், ஆக்ரா

• உலகின் 7 அதிசயங்களில் ஒன்றாக கருதப்படும் தாஜ்மஹால், முகாலயப்பேரரசர் ஷாஜஹானால் அவரது காதல் மனைவி மும்தாஜ் நினைவாக கட்டப்பட்டுள்ள கல்லறை மாளிகையாகும். 
• 1632-ஆம் ஆண்டில் துவங்கப்பட்ட இதன் கட்டுமானத்தை முடிப்பதற்கு 21 ஆண்டுகள் தேவைப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன. ஆயிரக்கணக்கான கலைஞர்கள், வடிவமைப்பாளர்கள் மற்றும் தொழிலாளர்கள் இதனை நிர்மாணத்தில் பங்கேற்றிருக்க வேண்டும் என்று சொல்லப்படுகிறது.

கடற்கரை கோயில், மஹாபலிபுரம்

• இந்தியாவின் புகழ்பெற்ற 10 வரலாற்று நினைவுச் சின்னங்கள் / 10 FAMOUS HISTORICAL MONUMENTS OF INDIA: கடற்கரை கோயில் எனப்படும் இந்த கலையம்சம் நிரம்பிய புராதனக்கோயில் கிரானைட் கற்களால் கட்டப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. மகாபலிபுரத்தில் (மாமல்லபுரம்) உள்ள முக்கிய கலைச்சின்னங்களில் ஒன்றாக வீற்றிருக்கும் இந்தக் கோயில் யுனெஸ்கோ அமைப்பினால் உலகப்பாரம்பரிய சின்னமாக அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

ஹம்பி நினைவுச்சின்னங்கள்

• ஹம்பி தொன்மை வாய்ந்த நகரமாக விளங்கி புராண காலத்திலேயே ராமாயண காவியத்தில் கிஷ்கிந்தா என்று குறிப்பிடப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

Sri Harmandir Sahib, Amritsar

Pragatheeswarar Temple, Thanjavur

Taj Mahal, Agra

Beach Temple, Mahabalipuram

• Known as the Beach Temple, this ancient temple full of art is built of granite stones. One of the major monuments in Mahabalipuram (Mamallapuram), this temple has been recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
