The production of H125 helicopter was launched jointly by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi today (Feb. 17) met Emmanuel Macron, who is on a three-day visit to India to participate in the AI Summit, in Mumbai.
- During this meeting, talks were held on cooperation between the two countries in the fields of security, business, etc. Also, importance was given to talk about regional and international issues.
- Foreign Minister Jaishankar, Defense Adviser Ajit Doval and other French officials were present during the talks.
- Following this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron inaugurated the final assembly of the H-125 helicopter, which will be jointly produced by Tata Group's Tata Advanced System Limited and Airbus, in the Wemakal area of Karnataka.
- This H125 helicopter will meet the needs of light helicopters in public security and military. H125 helicopters will be used during military operations in Everest.
- Tata and Airbus are jointly producing H125M light helicopters for military operations. These are slightly different from the H125 helicopters and are suitable for military environments.
- Tata has announced that these H125 helicopters, jointly manufactured in India by France and India, will be put into use in 2027.
- They discussed defense cooperation, energy, economy, trade and bilateral cooperation, including the production of Rafale aircraft. Following this, the Gateway of India today evening together with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Macron launched the 'India-France Innovation Year 2026'.
